It's cloudy this morning but much nicer than yesterday's rather wind blown experience. Temperature at 0925am is 14.9ºC, there is a bit of breeze but much quieter than yesterday. There is chance of one or two light showers today but overall we should see more sun than rain.  Top temperature 18 or 19. It won't be as warm tonight as it has been, down to around 10ºC.

We are in for a showery weekend as well and it might feel a bit cold in the north wind at around 16ºC daytime, 8 or 9 at night. Monday might have a couple of showers as well but the following few days should be dry, but will be cold.

A heavy shower has just passed over and there is more to come for a couple of hours maybe. The radar shows a particularly heavy looking one to the north-west of Portimão in the hills and heading this way. The sun's out at the moment, temperature at 0800 is 11.5ºC, rather colder than it has been lately. There could be showers on and off all day, temperature no more than 16ºC at best. Tonight could be as low as 8 or 9.

Rain is forecast all day tomorrow with similar temperatures, Sunday will be better, with some sun and slightly warmer. The week coming should be mostly dry but not very warm for the time of year.

Update 1140 - horrible out there, low cloud, raining hard and windy. Amber weather alert for the day issued.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
A very windy start to the day and it's now raining fairly hard as well. Temperature at 0935am is 14.2ºC. Looks like quite a lot of rain coming our way for the next few hours at least. Maximum temperature 17 or 18ºC.  Tonight will see temperature fall to 9 or 10ºC, still raining in all likelihood. Tomorrow will also be wet to start with but will clear up later in the day, temperatures similar to today. Monday isn't looking very nice either, but the rest of the week is expected to be mostly dry, some sun may be seen. It won't be very warm either, maybe as low as 5 or 6 at night, 16 - 18 daytime.

What a delightful day yesterday! Incessant rain, howling winds. It will be better today!

There is a line of showers just about (0750am) just about to go over us, but after that it looks fairly clear at the moment. Temperature at 0750am is 14.7ºC, it is a little windy. Once this rain has passed, there will be a bit of sun but mostly cloudy. Temperature should rise to about 18ºC this afternoon.

It won't be very warm tonight, may be as low as 9 or 10ºC. Tomorrow will start cloudy but dry, a band of light rain is expected during the afternoon.  Temperature 17 or 1 daytime, 9 or 10 at night. Tuesday will be fairly cold, but dry in the north wind. The north wind will bring dry days until Friday, when more rain is coming.

Passed over the "river bed" near what was Kadoc (now Lick) yesterday morning. Haven't seen any water in it all for 3 or 4 years but yesterday it was gushing.
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Today will more like a late spring day except a bit cold. Temperature at 0725 is 12.3ºC, it's a little cloudy and there is a steady breeze. There is s chance of some rain this afternoon, maximum temperature 17ºC.

After that rain passes, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday should be dry in a north wind, top temperatures daytime 16 or 17, at night could be as low as 5 or 6 in sheltered spots, 7 or 8 elsewhere. The weather is likely to turn wet again from Friday and for next weekend.

I am off away until Friday night, regular service resumes Saturday morning.

In Toms absence...

What a difference a two and a half hour flight makes! 8.00am and already 9 degrees, clear blue skies, some high thin cloud out to sea, sun shining, no breeze/wind.
Forecast is for this all day, some breeze mid day to 2.00pm and 16 degrees this afternoon, no rain.
Very acceptable.

Clear blue sky, no cloud but some fuzz or haze way out to sea, lightest breeze from the North, sun starting to warm us up, 10 degrees already, 15 forecast for later but like yesterday I think it will surpass that. No rain.

What breeze there is (very little) must have changed direction as they have reversed the pattern at Faro and as of ten minutes ago the planes are going in on an Easterly approach meaning what wind or breeze there is is now coming more from the east, which usually means higher temperatures, fingers crossed.

Edit. 1.45pm. They’ve turned the pattern back round, so it as we were and the breeze is now in evidence, we are at 16 degrees though already and out of the breeze it feels considerably warmer than that.

Just a quick note on the weather front to say that on Tuesday, with the cold weather still affecting the whole country, Faro airport was the warmest place on the mainland at 16.4ºC.

Looks like you will get a fairly decent day down there today with 18ºC this afternoon, rain coming through on Friday morning on the back of cold front passing over, clears up later in the day but some showers around and into Saturday. Temperatures still only around 16 or 17 though.

Up here in Porto 14ºC and quite windy, but dry. Down to 3ºC last night.

Yesterdays weather continues.
Clear sky, haze out to sea, sun arriving on scene to do his stuff, 11 degree's already, 18 forecast for later but, as it's done the past two days, I'm sure it will beat what is forecast, a very light intermittent breeze, no rain.
There are light showers predicted for tomorrow though.
Having been here for a few days now we've spoken with several locals who reckon the past four weeks weather, for the time of year, has been the wettest and worst in memory, they also tell us it's not looking good for next week but the forecasts I've viewed don't support that. Ho hum, out now for a day in the sun!

I hope you're right Andrew, what do locals know? 😁

Yeah, they do tend to apply a Rolling Stone theme... "Paint it Black"
