Last morning in Kent before travelling home this afternoon. Looks like I shall leaving behind a fairly decent day. It is 11º at 8am, expecting a dry and mainly sunny day up to 17º this afternoon.

Last full day on this UK trip. A fairly decent day is forecast, cloudy but dry and 17º later.

Promised to be a little warmer and less windy than the past few days. it's 10º at 0800, expecting 17º this afternoon with some actual sunshine. Staying dry, unlike home I see!

Dull and cloudy, but dry says the forecast. It's 11º here in Faversham at 0720am, rising to 15º this afternoon and I hope not so windy as it has been these last two days. It's cold watching cricket in 15 or 16º and in the wind.

Still in Faversham, Kent, where it is fairly bright, a few clouds and 12º at 0845am. Expected to stay dry but not very warm, 16º maximum. Yesterday the wind made it feel much colder than that.

Squally showers yesterday afternoon, not very nice at all in Sussex. Nicer day today says the forecast, no rain but not very warm with 16º being the best we can expect.

Arrived in Worthing yesterday afternoon in 25º and bright sunshine. Didn't last long, this morning it is grey and 16º. Maybe we shall have 19º this afternoon but a fair chance of rain it seems.

Typical! After two wet and horrible days in Leicester, the day I leave it's going to be sunny and 23º! I am off later to Sussex by the sea, where the forecast is not wonderful.

No cricket yesterday, whole ground waterlogged after the overnight and morning rain. Did cultural things. Another grey morning in Leicester, 13º and light rain falling. Rain should stop later, maximum 17º, prospects of play slim. More culture today perhaps, plus a couple of recommended pubs. Seems there will be similar weather down south next week.

Turned out a reasonable day here in Leicester yesterday, although quite windy and not very warm. Different story today. It's been raining through the night, more rain expected soon and lasting most of the day, Maximum temperature 17º.

Nasty day yesterday, gale force wind and heavy showers. The covers only came off at the cricket because the wind blew them off. Today does look being a better day. 13º at 0830, rising to 17º this afternoon, cloudy, should stay dry but still fairly windy.

Now in Leicester for some cricket - ha ha! After a wet and windy night, is still very windy but not wet. 13° at 0830. Supposed to stay dry until tea-time, maximum 17°. But it is so wet underfoot that prospect of any play must be slim.
