Balaia bowls club has tguis year raised about €5,000 for the Albufeira Bombeiros - the local volunteer fire service. €3,800 of this came from a sponsored parachute jump earlier this year. Some money was raised on Sunday 13th November, Remembrance Sunday, at a 'challenge' morning where members were tested in a series of unusual games.
