The annual Festas do Pescadores (fisherman's festival) is being held this weekend 2nd - 4th September.

Work is well underway in the "new square" in the Old Town erecting the stage and the many stalls.

I saw the work going on when I was in town yesterday. Anybody got any idea what time festivities kick off on Friday, will it be evening or earlier in the day?

From recollection its evenings but I don't know what time it kicks off. There's a poster at the bottom of the escalator but I didn't pay attention to whether it stated a start time.

Bebop, I went out of my way tonight just for you (well about a metre anyway).;)

The festival starts at 18.00 hrs and finishes at 01.00 hrs.
