I'm considering a day bus trip to Lisbon in June.  Not a service bus.  Presumably these may be booked at ticket shops.  There have been several complaints about bus trips here and on TA.  Can anyone suggest companies we should or shouldn't use?  All suggestions gratefully accepted.

Go by early morning train from Albufeira, have an overnight stop in Lisbon in a reasonable hotel & get a late afternoon train back.
Best way to travel & gives you more time in Lisbon to see the sights.

I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Hi, Lisbon is a fab place to go, I would think a day trip would not be great, there is so much to do, maybe if you were staying in the Algarve a 2 day trip would be more realistic, the music on the streets after midnight has not to be missed, it goes on and on. There are so many interesting areas in Lisbon to be investigated, at least 2 days to get a feel for the place.

Thanks, but it has to be a day trip and we prefer an organised trip with visits to Bellem Tower etc. I've spent time there before and know how limited a day trip will be but that's the way it has to be.

Can definately recommend the train. Once there if only a day trip grab a tuk tuk and you will get to see quite alot in the hour you hire it for and only €50 approx

Thanks Perry and for the Tuk Tuk suggestion S&V.  Hadn't thought of that.

Hi D. My man says Follow me tours, most reliable and they have various options eg bus only or bus with guided tour. Bit dearer than others but worth it in his opinion. Do not book it direct through them or through Ticket Shop as you will be more likely to get a discount elsewhere. He reckons about €32 with discount ( full price about €38 ).
