The dates for the Albufeira Wine Festival are 6th to 9th May 2016.

It takes place at the Espacao Multiusos next to Lidl.

There are usually about 50 different producers exhibiting their wares, some of which are only available to the public at the festival.

It usually costs €3 for your commemorative glass, which you get to keep, you can then try as many wines as you wish free of charge...

Couple of things this weekend ...

Sat 27 -  Flea market opposite Bullring ... 8.30 until 3.00.
Sun 28 -  Procession .. Igreja Matriz ... 4.30 - 6.30

They tried a beer festival a couple of years ago Andy, but it was far too expensive, so it didn't really work. You will soon get used to the wine, there's all sorts available - ideal opportunity to get yourself acquainted and find one you do like...

We're definitely going, it will be something different that we've not done before. i tried some vhino Verde with a meal last visit and it wasn't to bad. It will give me opportunity to find one I like 🍻

Pop into One 4 the Road next time you are at Fragata or Dom Capito - me and Cubsur are there every Saturday and Tuesday night for the quiz, and at various other times too...

We went yesterday, as did half of this forum it seems, LOL, it was excellent, though I did win my bet that we wouldn't get all four of our souvenier glasses home in one piece!

3 of the 4 AA, our visiting Frenchmans succumbed on the journey, LOL!
Plenty there Richard, we have half a cupboard full here, funny how it was the later part of our visit that we started buying, don't understand that! Confused
