oh boy. I hope this is right.
I knew from day one it was designed and built toF1 standard, indeed several F1 teams have run tests there, including Lewis when he was at McLaren.

No mention of it at the mo across the BBC & SKY Sorts platforms. Hope this is factual reporting and not pie in the sky!

It seems the cars will have to maintain 2 metres clearance all round.....

It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear. Douglas Adams

I’ve had reports from Holland and local that this is on.

It was originally built with F1 in mind but the infrastructure has never been in place and the failure to build the onsite hotel was always a stumbling block.

However, this year is soooooo different for obvious reasons, so it just might happen.

If you’re interested Cubsur, I’m going. Wifey says no chance.....silly girl.

And another source reporting the same, not a done deal.
This does say F1 will confirm by the end of July, so watch this space.

If TV rights are in place, then it may go ahead even if spectators are not permitted.

There is a precedent in that it has been confirmed that the final stages of the European (football) Champions League will take place in Lisbon, presumably also without spectators present.

Changed the topic title to be more representative of the event.

It looks like it could be confirmed soon:

Fantastic news. If they allow spectators I will be there. If they dont I'll be hiding in the hills overlooking circuit

Yes, spectators allowed Richard. I think it’s the first that won’t be behind closed doors.
Now we have to look-out for the release of tickets and the bun fight that will cause!

I have read that tickets were going for as much as €500.

That kind of number at a single event will be an interesting and severe test for the government's policies.

A friend is unable to attend The grand Prix due to serious  illness so wants to sell his tickets.
They are weekend tickets in the North stand  (end of pit straight so fantastic view)
They cost €350 each so if interested please drop me a message so we can get tickets transferred into your name.
Thanks
Richard

According to the weekend news the permitted attendance has been reduced to 38,000 (capacity 90,000) and there were still tickets on sale.
