The whole plot is about the size of a football pitch. I count nine houses built or being built with room for two or three more. The whole area is going to be building site for years. Lovely ambience for 1.25 million!

I saw those on IAD and the artistic impression is far away from the reality , the impression was space and no neighbours , not at all like the actual plots .

Loks like the first of that group of houses is occupied. More land is being cleared nearby and the old farmhouse has been demolished.     Meanwhile, the little park remains locked and bolted. What a waste!     |

The new market site yesterday. Wort to level etc still in progress. There are no toilets other than two little cabins tucked away in one corner, so you will have to dash down to the marina.   |

The man at the gate said that the Market had been cancelled today as there were only 70 pitches for 100 stalls. They decided all or none. It would have been very muddy too!
They are trying to rearrange from 7th Feb if the Camara can level the other half of the plot and put stones down to facilitate all of the stall holders.

It is to be the location of the Albufeira fortnightly outdoor Tuesday market as from tomorrow! Even as I write, I can see from the window white vans converging on the location. Information posted by The Cottage at Trip Advisor earlier today and verified with my own two eyes. Kept that quiet, didn't they.

They have planning permission for something like 300 apartments in several low rise blocks plus shops and other commercial premises. Obviously the apartments will be high end for rental or purchase by tourists, locals will never be able to afford them!
