Hi all,
Am spending 3 weeks in Armação de Pêra and will be using bus services to get around rather than driving. Its 20 years since I was in Armação de Pêra last and my first challenge will be getting from the airport to my diggs near the market. I am scheduled to land in faro at around 10.30 am on the 7th of November. Any guidance / pointers are much appreciated Thank you Anthony

Tom will give you the complete low down on buses. I imagine you will struggle in November as it is usual for a winter timetable to start then with only 2 airport buses a day. With the last winter's timetable you could get the Aerobus nbr 56 at 11.45 to Lagoa and then the nbr 13 or 51 to Armação.

The winter timetable for Aerobus has only those two a day, one at 1115 and one at 1815. You would almost certainly not make the 1115. Complete timetable at http://www.algarvebus.info/101.htm Should by some miracle you do, get off at Albufeira, 1200, and then take the 1245 number 13 bus to Armação de Pêra. The alternative is go on the local number 16 bus to Faro terminal at 1135 or 1205. That takes about 20 minutes, so you could make the number 57 Transrápido bus to Armação de Pêra at 1230. The next direct bus after that isn't until 1445, so time for lunch in Faro perhaps? PS it's cash only on the buses except with pre paid VAMUS passes, which you won't have. At Albufeira, you buy your ticket inside the building at the ticket counter to your left as you go in from where the buses are. Complete times Faro to AdeP www.algarvebus.info/002w.htm and coming back www.algarvebus.info/002e.htm The only other buses at Armação de Pêra are the infrequent weekdays only route 31 to Silves - http://www.algarvebus.info/014.htm Weekend bus service is now almost non existent. The bus company used the excuse of the so called pandemic to stop running them and most never came back.

What a great source of useful information you are Tom, I don’t think there would be anywhere on the internet where you could have received such a reply, we are very lucky to have you 👏👏👏

Tom you are a diamond so so very helpful.
I will check the links you have mentioned and book my flights around those times. I will no doubt be back if I may to further pick your brains if and when :) Thank you so much Anthony
