I forgot to mention that mask wearing was strictly enforced, in line with Portuguese law, the moment everyone stepped through the plane door. People were told off for removing masks in flight. Then of course on arrival not needed inside the terminal building, so off they came for the vast majority. Then of course back on again for the transfer to their hotel. Cattle in transports have more rights than humans. They are not forced to stand for hours in long lines without food and water.

Liverpool to Faro with Easyjet, masks strictly enforced at gate no vaccination certificate asked for. Faro, 6 planes arriving at the same time caused a huge que around all 4 sides of the stair well structure but dealt with very quickly using both lanes but no electronic gates in action. No locator form needed but a lone security man did go amongst the 1000 or so people and ask one or two to scan their vaccine QR code. He soon lost interest though!
Return flight much the same, no vaccine certificate asked for, no passenger locator form required, just 2 planes arriving at same time took longer than Faro! Overall it's back to as good as it ever was it would seem, so book without worries and enjoy the beautiful Albufeira! |

No problem at Faro this morning, at least with Easyjet. Arrived 0905 and was almost at the head of the queue. Only one flight this time rather than the three on my previous trip. Checkin opened promptly at 0930, everything followed without any waiting and I was airside at 0955. In contrast there were huge crowds at Jet2.com and Ryanair.
