Presumably demolished rather than destroyed by storms? They've got about 3 months until we are over again to rebuild it.

Demolished I was told. Haven't been any storms here enough to do that.

Must have been a very high tide last night. Evidence near the pier.

Galé beach this afternoon.

And the site of the Pedras Amarelas bar restaurant, completely gone as if it had never existed!

Cow me Tom!
What on earth happened there? Such a popular and always busy restaurant. Unless they have plans for grander things.
I did observe a couple of years back how their adjacent beach bar also similarly just disappeared.
I can’t believe it’s lack of trade, this area is always busy to rammed so most interesting, what is to become? Time will tell, I’ll watch with interest.
That apart, in your photo, O’Galeao, is it still shut or has it reopened yet? Can’t tell from pic, cheers.

From a reliable source, Pedras Amarelas is being rebuilt and will be two storeys. I told you it was rammed, obviously busy enough to justify this sort of investment, I’m just puzzled as to why they didn’t start this project as soon as last season finished.

I was told last October that they were expected to be rebuilt and open from May.....seems unlikely!

The sea was a bit rough today but that didn't put some people off from enjoying a paddle!

Here's  few more of the beach taken this afternoon. Bit too windy for the sun beds!

I’m surprised they got an ambulance through the tunnel, wouldn’t have thought there was the headroom.
That apart, hope the reason for it being there turned out okay for whoever was involved.

Is that a ramp they’ve put leading up to the Inatel terrace or has the sand drifted that high.
Never put off something that you could do today

With the demolition of Pedras Amarelas I see we’ve also lost the MEO Gale Beachcam! 😕
