They give me hay fever though!

Work continues along millionaires row. The grass in the little park has been cut and is now turning brown. More large areas have been levelled out, presumably for yet more mansions. Up behind the great wall is still mostly a wasteland.

There are several derelict properties up there. A close up shows how they were built. In effect a hollow wall filled with rammed earth and stones. This is a technique that goes back thousands of years.

The park is still locked up.

Not much going on here though!

And high above, even bigger mansions line the crest of the hill.

Closer down, the ruins of the Crowne Plaza development continue to be a big blot on the landscape.

All bright and shuny in yesterday's sunshine. It wasn't particularly busy, but several boat trips were going in and out. A couple of big private vessels seen as well.

I don't recall seeing this boat before. From this angle, it rather resembles a landing craft!

Taken Sunday afternoon 29th March with low quality camera! That large block towards the bottom centre has been empty since time immemorial. Tourist shops occupy the ground floor, rough sleepers some of the rest.

Work continues on the big houses.

And among all the shiny new buildings is this ruined farmhouse.

The marina was fairly busy on a nice afternoon.

The waterwall has been brought back to life.

Some of the new roads and paths are still fenced off.

Bumped into some people playing around with Mercedes latest 'steer by wire' car. Due to go on sale later this year, at some hideous price tag no doubt.

The tribe that lives on the viewing platform above the beach were enjoying a bit of afternoon sun yesterday.

It was quiet on Sunday afternoon down in the fishing harbour. A big yacht came in as I was walking by

The gates to the little park were open last Sunday. First time ever. I don't whether it's by accident after the circus event that took place there over Christmas, or whether permanent. There were some people around. It does look as if the place has been tidied up.

Nearby, work continues on the multi-million Euro mansions. I really don't know what to make of the monolith in the first two pictures. Sorry about the sun, it's in the wrong place.

There are still large areas of basically wasteland, most unappealing for those who have spent €€€€ on luxury living.

The new road towards the marina is not yet finished. Beside it are two very large areas being cleared for more mansions.
