But UBER is already active and available in and around Albufeira so if they were would they have a different name and web portal? Maybe this is pretty much the same but different, even more to annoy the current taxi cartel if it is!

I reckon if licensed for transfers they are ok for 'transfers' between old and new town but maybe they rightly think people just wait or call for a taxi, not realising they could use a transfer company who might have cars sitting around.
