Fixture dates and times have been announced for the first two weeks of the Liga Meu Super.

Sunday 9th August Farense v Torreense at the unwelcome time of 11:00 am. Torreense made history last season when they beat FC Porto in the Portuguese Cup Final.

Sunday 16th August Portimonense v Vizela ko 11:00 am

It's a toss up as to whether there wiill be more watching on TV than in the ground. For both those, tickets are almost certainly only available at the stadium on the day. You can check at the club websites.

Also on Sunday 16th August, in Liga 3 Louletano will be playing Belenenses at the Algarve Stadium ko 15:00 / 3pm. No need to worry about getting in for that one. Getting there and back without a car is the only problem.

Fixtures for Liga 3 have been released. Louletano will begin the season with an away game, then will be at home to Belenenses over the weekend of 15th / 16th August. Games are normally on a Sunday afternoon but will confirmed the Monday before, all being well.

Liga 3 is split into two groups of 10 for the first phase. The faintly ridiculous fixture list has four weeks with no games from mid September to mid October and another three weeks in November with no games. The first phase ends on the last weekend of January. Then the top teams play another round for promotion, the bottom teams to avoid relegation.

As of 15th July there is still no news of fixtures for Liga 3, which starts on 9th August, nor for the Campeonato de Portugal, which starts on 16th August. Liga 2 (Liga Meu Super) also starts over the weekend 8th / 9th August. Farense will be at home, but the TV company has yet to decide dates and times for matches.

The Algarve League does not start until late September, those fixtures will be out about 3 weeks beforehand.
