The NIF is a Portuguese tax number. It can be used by us to claim back VAT on tickets. As you don't pay tax here you won't have one. Try entering 999999999 (nine nines) which is in effect a code for a non-taxpayer.

Hello all!

Brand new user - excuse any mistakes in posting this, please! :-)

My wife and I are visiting Albufeira for 5 weeks and have not rented a car (yet). We want to get around by bus initially.

We're trying to buy two monthly passes for the Giro busses on the Vamus app, but am stuck with filling in the account info where it asks for a NIF. What is a NIF? It is an essential field but have no clue what is being requested! :-)
