Thanks Andy, that's a good read. If he's off the booze maybe it's a recent turnaround. During the covid years he was stationed outside the Cerro Grande Intermarche, probably as he says because there were no tourists around or he was getting moved on. He used to sit there with a Sagres mini in his hand and evidence of a few earlier ones scattered around. I once bought him a sandwich and a beer when he looked a bit bad, not sure he was that impressed by the sandwich.
