The timetable for route 9 Albufeira - Faro was re-issued three times last week. It was only small change, but obviously someone made a mistake the first and second times.

Experience from the past always had delays of up to 30 minutes by the time I got back to Albufeira from Lagos on what was the 1800 bus, even on a winter Saturday. (That no longer runs of course.) And we may have stopped only a couple of time to pick up passengers. Time will tell if the revised timetable is more accurate.

On other occasions we board it at Lagoa, which is a surprise to us because we expect there are no buses to Albufeira after 7pm but we often get the 51 after 7pm. According to the my trips section of the app, the last time 3 weeks ago was at 19.26 for a bus scheduled at 18.59.

It is amazing though that all these schedules for both the 51 and 56 were just issued for the summer on 1st May, so to be re-issuing them just a week later seems plain daft. Particularly with the 51 as the timing issues have been there all winter long.

Substantial changes were announced yesterday, 8th May, to the times of bus 51 Albufeira - Lagos via Portimão. They came into effect that same day! Some times have changed by 15 minutes. The running time has had ten minutes added overall. I have updated the most important pages, but some information will be out of date while I check everything. Announcing a new timetable on the day it takes effect once again demonstrates the disregard for customers!

Also announced at the same time and also taking affect on the same day were minor changes to Aerobus route 56, which runs direct between Albufeira Bus Station and the airport five times a day.
