I doubt it. There are some pretty strict rules here about recording CCTV images. Obviously they will be recorded for use in court. The existing beach webcam has to state explicitly that images are not recorded.

I remember 20 - 25 years ago when it easy to hack into traffic cameras etc, but the world is a different place now.

When this happens with the cameras do you think it would be likely
that these would be viewable online.
There used to be one about halfway down the strip but it went years
ago, it,s just that when we,re in the UK and with the winter nights it,s
sometimes nice to have a look at what,s going on?

It has been announced that the council is proceeding with plans to install 65 security cameras in the old town, 'strip' and one or two other areas.

The mayor said "I believe it will be a decisive factor in ending the lack of security and tranquility in specific areas of Albufeira”
