Two things have happened to the road surface at the Dolphin(s). Cracks have appeared where trenches were dug across the road towards the dolphins and much of the top surface has been worn away, leaving channels were rain can accumulate. I would be careful driving around there.

Looks worse than it is. It had been raining so bits show up dark. I will be down there in an hour, so will get a closer shot.

I don't know why two dolphins have been removed but it may be because of the Christmas fairy lights that have been strung across their perch.
