Hi Everyone,
Any advise given will be most appreciated. We travel 3/4 times a year and not once have we been to the Algarve. I have now booked a flight for 10 night stay in June so we are going to give it a try my problem is where to stay which resort. If i tell you what we like then maybe some one could advise. Me and Ian (Hubby) both in early 50's we prefer Hotel on a BB Basis with a decent pool area (we also enjoy the beach but the pool is more important) Our day will mainly consist of chill out time. In the evening we like to walk to bars/restuarants people watch and then go for a nice meal. Then find another bar for a few more drinks. I am wondering about albufuria we like the sound of the old town and would probably visit the strip for a drink and a people watch probably not for too long at this time of year we normally go to Turkey Challis Beach/Fetiye Area that is the type of area we like if anyone out there familiar with it. Any info very much appreciated. Thanks Kim |

Albufeira old town is just what you are looking for by the sound of it Kim. Look at Brisa Sol, Vila Gale Cerro Alagoa, Paraiso or Hotel Real Belavista to start with, I think one of them would suit you down to the ground.

Agree, with AA, if beach was more important to you than a pool, I would have recommended either Sol e Mar or Rocomar, good luck

I too would recommend Brisa Sol and Vila Gale Cerro Alagoa, not stayed at the other 2 so can't comment on those.
