Old Town, both day and evening, and with kids that age either or both, depending on finances, Zoomarine and Slide & Splash. A day on the beach, they're all brilliant, and then whatever takes your fancy... Just my suggestions for a first visit with four kids of that age.
Enjoy your trip whatever you do, I'm sure you will, do come back and tell us.
By the by, if you enjoy quizzes and/or want to meet forumies off here... Floyds .. Wed and Sat nights, good times guaranteed.

Thanks Andrew. Would you say slide and splash rather than aqualand?

Smile I'd say aqualand as slide and splash is as it says "just slides"
Aqualand has more attractions including a wave pool which
the kids will enjoy. Zoomarine is a must as well.

Sorry Christina but I would say Slide and Slash and Aquashow are miles better than Aqualand. In fact, unless it has been totally rebuilt recently, I would avoid Aqualand.

Totally agree with Andrew, Albufeira with it's cosmopolitan square and little streets and street entertainers, in a safe, happy vibrant atmosphere. If you have a car, drive 5 minutes from Albufeira and go to either rabbit beach or castelo beach with a picnic and have a day on the beach !!   Tongue

Cry I havn't actually been to Aqualand for 2 seasons but enjoyed it the last time I went.
When I've taken people with children to Slide and Splash they've been disappointed
because apart from slides theres not much else there.
Must admit i havn't tried Aquashow so its now on my List (thanks for tip bob d)Thumbs Up

Interesting... Slide & Splash I would have thought great for a family group of those ages, Aquashow is a bit more intense and has fairground type rides and a great log flume, Aqualand I don't think compares.

If you go to Aquashow with your own transport in July or August you must get there early, the car park gets full then you park down the road, last time we came away the roadside parking extended for over a mile away! Not fun in that heat.

We prefer aqua show as it is two parks in one. The water park side with slides and a massive wave pool, and the theme park side with log flumes and roller coaster rides.
