Sunny sky, a bit of a breeze and 18.3ºC at 0855am. Wind is from the north, so it's hot dry air coming from inland. Maximum temperature today forecast to be 31ºC. There might be some cloud around later.

Warmer tonight than it has been, 18 or 19 along the coast, 17 inland.

Current forecast says 33ºC tomorrow and 34ºC Saturday with night-times no lower than 22. And that's the pattern for next week, except the wind will be more from the south so it could be more humid.

I believe that the weather has not been too great so far this summer on the Algarve... are there any real signs of improvement? Sid.

Summer is here. Temperature at 0845am is 22.5ºC in the shade with 31ºC forecast for this afternoon. Clear sky, slight wind. Tonisdad is right, even earlier in the week there were pale skinned Brits and Irish with sunburn, now it's be careful time. There's not going to be any appreciable change in the weather for the next week / ten days, with night-times no lower than about 20ºC and daytime up in the low 30´s.

There was some cloud earlier and it was really windy around dawn. Cloud gone now, wind has died down. Warming up nicely, 24.6ºc at 1040am.  Probably won't be quite so hot today as it was yesterday, 27 or 28ºC. Warm tonight, not lower than 20ºC and tomorrow will also be hot and sunny, possibly 30ºC.

No change is expected until the middle of next week when it might be a lot more cloudy.

Nice and sunny so far, a light breeze. Temperature at 1113am is 27.1ºC, so quite a bit warmer than yesterday. Max today should be 30ºC. Tonight won't be too bad, down to 19 or 20 at worst.

Monday and Tuesday are likely to be a little cloudy and not so hot. From Wednesday onward daytimes are going to be back up around the 30 mark, night-times 18 - 20. The forecast shows a small chance of a shower or two on Wednesday and Thursday.

Last report for a few days as I am off to enjoy the delights of the early summer in England and the beer tent at the cricket. Thin high cloud up there this morning, sun is peeping through. Temperature at 0815am is 25.3ºC in a light wind.

Forecast for today is 30ºC with a bit of cloud around all day. Warm tonight but not all that humid, no lower than about 22 along the coast, a touch lower inland.

The next couple of days will though be more cloudy and not so hot, only 25 perhaps, then from Thursday onward we shall again be back in the high 20's in the day, cooler at night 17 - 20ºC, with cloudy weather at times.

Hot sunny day coming our way. Temperature at 0750am is 21.6ºc, forecast to rise to around 30ºC this afternoon. Clear sky once again means a cold night, temperature will fall to around 20ºC overnight.  Similar tomorrow and Wednesday, then Thursday and Friday may be a touch cooler under clouds. Later in the week and next weekend it will once again reach 30 or 31ºC daytime, 18 - 20 overnight.

Another warm day in prospect. Temperature at 8am is 22.8ºC, rising to 29 or 30 this afternoon. There is a little bit of a breeze.

It will be cold again tonight, as low as 19 or 20ºC. Wednesday and Thursday may be a little cooler than today but still dry, 26 - 28 is expected. From Friday temperatures will be back to 30 - 32 daytime, 17 - 19 at night.

Most of the Algarve is now on high alert for fire risk because of the dry and windy weather.

Like several others in the area, my golf club here in N Norfolk has imposed a smoking ban on the course due to a high fire risk.
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

It's a bit cloudy this morning but the sun is out. Temperature at 0845am is 22.4ºC.  There is a light wind. We are not expecting more than 27ºC today as the cloud may be around most of the day.

It will be cold again tonight, down as low as 18 or 19 near the coast, maybe 17 inland. There won't be much change over the next couple of days. Things will warm up again over the weekend with 30 - 32 expected.

A few small fires have been logged over the past couple of days over towards Lagoa and Silves. The eastern Algarve is on very high alert, less risk predicted for this area.

It's rather cloudy this morning but humid with it.  Temperature at 0810 is 23.0ºC. The cloud will eventually clear but it won't be as warm as it has been recently, maximum only around 26. It could be windy later as it was yesterday afternoon and evening.

It will be cold again tonight, down to 19 or 20 along the coast, 17 inland.

Not much change is expected before the weekend.

It's cloudy again this morning but not as humid as it was yesterday. Temperature at 1010am is 22.4ºC, so not as warm either. It will stay cloudy for most of the day. The temperature won't be much more than 25º. Tonight will be cold, 18 or 19 along the coast and perhaps as low as 16 inland sheltered places. It could also be quite windy as it was last night.

Little change over the weekend except it may be even colder, with the wind coming from across the sea.

Improvement coming from Monday, temperature back up to 30º - 32ºC

This really is an odd one. Just based on the BBC forecast, Albufeira is mid twenties only for next ten days, here, UK Midlands, it’s consistently hotter and has been for the past six weeks!
What is going on, July and August on the Algarve used to be, always, scorchio, well into the 30’s.
We did have half an hours rain last night, the first for nearly two months but again this morning, clear skies and full sun. I’m not complaining, just find it incredible that the UK is having sustained better weather than the Algarve.
