Any tips on getting the stones quickly and easily out of water melon?.
Love them, but it takes ages and no matter what, I always miss some.

Try cutting it into thinish slices instead of wedges, the seeds are much easier to find & remove from the slices.

As Chrissy says cut into thin slices, cut melon in half then slice like bread to what ever thickness you want, push the seeds through and out. If melon really large cut in half, then each half again and you have a wedge which you slice again like bread. When done like this it then makes it easy to just cut the skin off the slices as you wish. Andy

Put in blender, add vodka and ice, serve in tall glass with a 3 foot long straw, sparkler and a cardboard parrot, then drink in the sunshine, who cares about the seeds now???

The few seeds in the mutant ones are much smaller & softer, so you wouldn't actually know you're eating them. |
