Can`t see it catching on. People who do these are looking for info ... and so they`d need to know when it is (leaflet or posters are a cost) ... where the hell is Beato Vicente ... and how do I get there for 1000 ? You`d either have to walk up (almost cardiac hill) ... or get the previous Red2 giro passing around 0940 ... it is bordering on the really stoopid ...

Why not start at the bus station ? .. which everyone can get to for 1000 ... and they`d probably all have tickets to continue to BV ... 10 mins later. As I sussed around 9 years ago .. lots of history, culture and sights in the city ... but few brains.

Better still ... take my tour ..

Is Paderne castle the next best tourist 'must see' after the historic town centre? Sure it's got history but it's sadly not much more than a pile of bricks!

Surely having concreted over anything historical they should aim the tours at the crowd who now come here? Full English on your left, Bob in his mankini on the right!

Probably too many hills involved for for my old bones.
It is no coincidence that in no known language does the phrase 'As pretty as an Airport' appear. Douglas Adams

The biggest problem will be publicity as always. If previous form is anything to go by, they will probably advertise in local giveaway papers - read only by people who already live here. At the Town Hall, where tourists never have to go, and on a roadside poster somewhere between Olhao and Tavira...
