The tourist 'train' now stops at the Tres Palmeiras roundabout outside the Forte do Vale hotel.
There is tourist train stop at the old bus shelter on the roundabout. OK to get into the old town and to the big shops perhaps, but it is more expensive than the bus, which goes from the same place every half hour. Coming back Old Town - FDV is a very long way round the circle. It would probably be quicker to walk and certainly quicker on the bus, about 5 minutes only. They have updated all the information at the 'train' stops to show the new FDV information but not the website www.turistrem.com |

I have often thought that they should have one train travelling clockwise and the other anti-clockwise, which would give people an option, depending where along the route they wished to get on or off.

A sensible enough idea, but it would then be competing directly with the council subsidised GIRO bus service which would probably be counter-productive.

For anyone who has not seen or traveled on the wee train here is a picture of it going down the strip. ![]() And can any one tell me if the new "Cottage" is on the left hand side of this picture?

Yes, that's it, entrance in the middle of the 45 degree facade, ie. opposite the triangle.
'Twas the shop that used to sell football shirts, trainers and boots etc.
