I wonder what the attitude of the UK constabulary would be should anyone do the same in, let's say, Tonbridge High Street next Sunday night?

It was okay Tom, all their paperwork was right so the Portuguese police were quite happy with the situation...

I shall expect Perry to have his van and flags ready for a swift  circuit of Cerro Branco should we manage to beat Italy tomorrow.

Absolutely, I meant a more general celebrating, happy, chuffed, delighted... sort of thing.

As it happens, the gang of us coming out a week Wednesday (fingers crossed) are meeting in our mates Indian restaurant on Sunday to have a chat about our trip and then to watch the match, I can see already it will be bleary eyes on Monday morn!

People in England will be dancing inside and outside pubs though Andrew, supporting the ailing brewing/licensing industry, not keeping people awake and supporting the mega greedy/rich petrol companies...

What Cubsur said. Some of them are out in the streets long before the game is finished. The "look at me, listen to me" is what they are interested in, not the actual game. Sad.
