I think the re is a misunderstanding - perhaps the use of the word bungalows was selected in error, one of those translation errors.........

The main block fronting onto Rua Vasco da Gama is the hotel.
There are apartment located to the rear of the grounds and there is a swimming pool between the hotel & the apartments.

I am presuming that the reference to the bungalows is in reality a reference to the apartments.

The bungalows in question were built last year so they are brand new.
They look very nice although I have not been inside one
The Topazio is situated fairly central and is a very good hotel

Here is a picture of where the bugalows are in relation to the hotel

The Topazio has been completely renovated since this picture was taken. A little crazy golf course and a kids playground have also been added.

This was taken from my balcony at the Arieas Village last December, not a brilliant view of the new build but you get the idea, I did notice that the pool is sheltered from the sun for quite a while in the mornings, however it was December.

the bungalows are also called villas, we have stayed in one this week and intend to upgrade again for october, they are separate and have a flatscreen tv, table with 4 chairs, 3 seater sofa with pull out bed, kitchen stocked with fridge, knives, forks, plates microwave etc bathroom with shower etc and a separate double room with for once a double mattress and not two singles pushed together.  they also provide free wifi just ask at reception for the passcode for both hotel and the pool. you will love it. id fully recommend this hotel to anyone. staff are friendly too.

Damn it. We chose not to book this hotel as all the sites had conflicting info about whether it had been renovated so we decided to go with what we knew.

Well i can assure you it has been renovated and will post some pics up when i get a chance.

Last week was our second time in Topazio and they have made a few changes since we were there in October, WiFi is now Free and you can now get food in the restaurant including Breakfast which means B n B is no longer a trek elsewhere.  We are also on route there in October and are currently looking into upgrading to the Villa from the one bed apartment, its amazing how much you actually miss a sofa until you have one there :)

Slightly gutted. We even called one of the agents to ask if their pics were out of date. There responses were completely unhelpful so booked the tropical sol where I have stayed before and know what we are getting. There's always next time I suppose.

I'm with John, sorry!!! However, maybe if the cost of staying there isnt too bad it would be worth it. A week on windy hill at this time of year would set you back about £475 just for accommodation and I imagine Albufeira Jardim to be about the same, is the topazio cheaper than that?
