It's about 50 minutes drive but that depends, amongst other things, on whether you use the motorway (as we did) or the N125. It's approximately 65kms and is on the Eastern side of Tavira. |

I wouldn't recommend the 125 - it's a hell of a slow trek once you get east of Olhao. |

I'm not an expert on public transport, others on here should be able to offer advice, however I did pass a train station a few times.
This was at Conceição which, according to Google maps, is about 1.3kms (or 15 minutes walk) from the waterfront in Cabanas. |
