Casa Do Cerro is the club.
Yep, agree with your list of eateries there, we also like Prima Pasta, although that's very different to the rest of that list. |

Just remembered another good one on that stretch, Casa de Carne, very good, very popular.

And don't forget O Marinheiro at Sao Rafael. Excellent food and not too pricy.
Agree with your list, dav954, but have never tried Casa d'Avo. Is it on a par with the others you mention? BTW it's Museu dos Salgados.

Difficult as it's different. They do a set price buffet type meal with a choice of four or five, usually traditional type dishes, as a main course.
It is good, nice for a change. The car park is just a few yards past, same side of road, and is gated and fenced. |

Windmillhill - you need to go here. Google for A Casa do Avo and you'll get to their website. |

You'll enjoy, no doubt.
Have you tried Atlantico at Guia? Very, very plain, definately not a tourist place but superb fish, the meat is pretty good but the fish... quality, just quality. They do have a regular famous visitor.. but I recommend on the quality of their food. |

Pleased to hear and we'll hold you to it!
But if memory serves me right, wasn't that Theodosio's for the piri piri? Atlantico is much smaller and known for it's fish, and you can guess from it's location who the famous regular is. |

No Av I didn't. Being a frequent traveller to Japan, and indeed Kobe, I've sampled it there and whilst I'm sure this would be good, it isn't Kobe beef in Kobe if you know what I mean so I deliberately steered away. Incidently the quality of the Kobe beef in Kobe is so good you can, and we have, eaten it raw, melts in your mouth.
I went for the fish soup and an Argentinian steak, the soup was excellent the steak equally so. We shall return! |

They do a lovely mushroom starter as well. The homemade Piri Piri sauce is worth trying as well, it is very hot!!! The deserts are all homemade by the Waiter Fernando, brilliant cheesecakes and he sometimes does a rhubarb crumble amongst other things.
