Hi to any budding green bowlers out there. Balaia Bowls Club meets every Tuesday & Friday for practice 10am apart from Jan till end of March when its 2pm start. Whether you have played before or not you are welcome to come along. Instruction for beginners is available. Open to all ages- resident or visitor Cost is €10 per session inc bowl hire Balaia Bowls is off the Oura to Olhos D'agua road adjacent to the Golf Clubhouse I hope you can make it - Richard |

Richardk besides practice sessions does the bowls club have any comps or anything were you can join in with others to have a competitive game during May? ------------- Polli the dancing cat strikes again. |

We joined Richard & Lynn this morning at the golf club for a morning of bowls. We were made very welcome and really enjoyed it, great company, lovely facility and a cracking beer in the bar after.

I must try bowls one day. Surely it cannot be more difficult that trying to hit a round target 7' 9 and 1/4" away with a pointed object. Andrew - we are glad you enjoyed - hope to see you again soon Tom - you are very welcome to join us - I cant promise the bowls will go better than your darts but why not give it a try? Tuesday & Friday 10am for roll up (practice) - all welcome

Richard. I am coming to Albufiera for the winter(19/10-21/3) and would be interested in joining you for some regular bowling. Can you let me know what the form is, ie: membership costs, internal competitions and all relevant info you think I might need. Many thanks ------------- |

Paul, welcome to the forum but I'd edit your above post and take your e-mail addy off it. You can send Richard a PM with it if you wish but you'll likely attract a lot of unwanted stuff if you leave that up there. There will be the usual Tuesday and Friday practice sessions 1000 - 1200 so feel free to come along. Costs 10 Euros including hire of bowls. Check back nearer the time just in case of any changes.
