I've just been on Monarchs site and put some dates in for price of flights and can't understand why on the outbound flight the difference between basic flight price package & Premium price package is £41 extra but on the inbound flight the difference between basic & premium flight package is £50 extra. Why do these prices differ when you only get the same extras on premium package regardless of outbound & inbound.

we usually fly Ryaniar but booked with BMI Baby for Sept as the times of the flight where better and now we have got to try and find new flights with BMI Baby finishing.....Bluming pain!!!!! And was trying to book a weekend break (Thurs-Sunday) but Ryanair has changed thier flight times for the return on the Sunday to 7.15am, so not worth it to travel all that way for just 2 days :((((

If there is a lounge involved in the Premium package, perhaps Faro charge more for the facility Poli? |

I always maintain its to do with the "cookies"the airline web sites place on your browsing history that causes the price to go up after you 1st visit and dont book, when you go back it knows exactly what youve looked at before and accordingly jacks up the price, you can try deleting "cookies"before you next visit their site,it seems to work for a few hours after your 1st visit the price stays the same.

Totally agree Alan, when you go into website for dates, if you have been in before it fills in the dates automatic (with cookies) I now go on flight websites in an incognito page (Google Chrome) and put the dates in, but baaaa the flight prices are still the same. In fact Monarch have just added another £20 on top, dam and blast. I also have a problem with pricing a flight for 1 person as apposed to two, sometimes they can be different. Bloody computers are clever trevors.

Booking two one ways is sometimes good, out in Pounds, back in the same amount but Euros.....if you have a Portuguese bank account that's currently a 16% saving, works on Ryanscare
Just as an aside I like the Ryanscare service Leeds/Portugal as it is a Portuguese crew they do Faro/Leeds/Faro/Porto/Faro on their shift |

I was thinking along the lines of booking return whilst in Algarve, our airlines must sell flights to Portuguese national etc.
Also I have been looking into having a Euro currency account based in UK, I bank with Banif who have a London branch. Also if you have a Sterling account with them, they also offer a reasonable exchange rate with no fees to transfer pounds into euros to your Portuguese account. |
