It was so hot yesterday you would not have wanted to be out. I am seeing some very stupid people who have been badly burned.

Hi, I'm also traveling this weekend, I've looked at a few forecasts and they're all slightly different. Are the 5 day forecasts normally pretty accurate for Portugal? Is 19 degrees still shorts and t-shirt weather in Portugal?

I would rather have 19 in Albufeira that the hail stones that hit Ireland yesterday anytime.

Yesterday I saw upper thirties in the car, way too hot for me, so if we can lose 10 degrees I will be very happy. Just can't please some people eh! Cool

Jayjan is correct
The average summers day temperature in Glasgow is 17 degrees.
I have looked at a few sites and the average temperature forecast for The Algarve next week (I reckon) is 21 deg. I will guarantee you will get a lot of good weather so dont worry, be happy, and enjoy looking forward to your holiday.

Thanks, I was just a bit worried because it's our first family holiday and I booked Portugal at this time of the year so it wasn't too hot for the kids but still hot enough.

The climate IMO is excellent, never too hot never too cold, be careful when there is a breeze up as it is very easy to get burnt as it doesn't feel as hot as it actually is. I am sure you and your kids will love it,  I know me and mine do !   Thumbs Up

Can I second what John has said about it not feeling as hot as it actually is, and also warn that even if it is cloudy the UV rays still come through the cloud and you WILL burn. Do not leave home without sun cream until the sun goes down...
