Sausage Rolls, the rot is setting in already.

Just made our first visit to Iceland this afternoon - but only because we were at Leroy Merlin & it was raining so we had nothing much else to do.

First of all it realy stank of sewerage in there, really off putting for a food store.
It wasn't busy, maybe 20 people & that was about it.

Not that impressed in all honesty but then I've never been that impressed with Iceland in the UK - probably only been in one 4 or 5 times before.

Some products were cheaper than what you normally find over here but not that much cheaper - many were more expensive.

The lure of British products is not that great for us either as coming over fairly frequently we're able to bring lots of stuff with us - it's cheaper to pay Easyjet £20 to bring a large cardboard box full of stuff a couple of times a year.

BTW, if you haven't tried Continente Online it's really good - been using it for 18 months now.
Good product range, prices not bad for Portugal and the deliveries are reliable.
Furthermore, once you become a customer they chuck all sorts of freebies, special offers and vouchers at you so you keep using it.

I hate how people compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

As you say, coming over fairly frequently, you have a different take on things.

We used Iceland last few days of our holidays and thought there was plenty of reasonable priced things to be had.
Bought some stewing steak and rib eye from the butchers and it was really good.
Handy as well as daughter is vegetarian and they had vegeterain foodstuffs which is useful.
