Hi
Im organizing a stag do to albufeira next week and was hoping someone could let me know if we have to book the Chinese. We will be there next Thursday and there is 26 of us? Does anybody have the contact details for the happy house Chinese? Many Thanks

I would call in and ask, better than being disappointed by just going there and no room for you all. I am sure they would be happy to have a party of 26.
This link has their telephone number but no email address, the first telephone number is a landline, the other is a mobile, make sure you put 00351 before number if you are ringing from UK. also the price quoted on freemaps site may have increased.

I think the Happy House is now 9.95 per person but could have increased in recent weeks. Last report I heard about them was that the food was a bit hit and miss. The quality was good when they first opened but dipped a bit about 2 years ago and slowly climbed back to a reasonable standard. Personally I would rather go to a chinese where the food isn't left on hot plates for hours on end. I know they refill and replenish as and when but there are still some things which are there a long time.

Id actually recommend you attend Jing Du on the strip only 4 euro a dish and its really good feeding, we were in it twice last week. Lovely and relaxed atmosphere too.

i take it that its Jing Du Chinese you refer to here, if it is then it is situated up the Strip on the right hand side as you head toward Montechoro its actually just past Wind Surf so not too far past Fredis on the corner. They open at 6.30 in evenings and they also open for Lunch aswell. |

Now €10.25 a head. So they have swallowed most of the IVA increase, sadly to the detriment of the quality. Four of us went last night, the only thing we all enjoyed was the chocolate mousse for dessert....

Jon, I hope you had a good time:-) I also hope you are not the same party of 26 who wreaked havoc in the old town, causing vertigo to have to close on three occassions because of the trouble!! Then some of the party walked into Eddy's bar demanding taxi's and generally making everyone in there feel pretty scared. Eddy's only got 8 of the party concerned but were told there were 26 in the party and the rest would be there pretty quick if the 8's demands were not met! They wanted taxi's without even buying a drink and then went around punching the walls and generally intimidating the folks in there. My brother ( a hardened but now old Glaswegian, even felt bothered:-0 ) Would be nice to hear from you, that it wasnt your party and that you went and had a good time and didnt encounter any trouble!
