Some of you may noticed the work taking between the present end of the wiggly path and Albufeira camping. Quite a lot of digging going on, pipes of various sizes being taken up and replaced and the form for the path extension now clearly visible. When finished it will be a great improvement on the scary walk along that road or the old rough path.

Looks like the old well is getting a makeover at the same time.

Not sure how far they are going but these are the derelict tennis courts belonging to Albufeira Camping just by the footbridge.

Nearly finished and open as far as the bridge. Landscaping in progress and there was even a bloke painstakingly removing the weeds from one of the tennis courts. The other is already clear. When complete it will run right to the entrance of Albufeira Camping. The walk between there and town will be a lot less unpleasant away from the road. Pictures taken this afternoon.

The old pump has been restored but only cosmetically. You can see the electrical fittings that power a modern pump.

Along the way some orange trees are heavily laden.

All finished. You can now walk all the way between Camping Albufeira and the old town, away from the traffic and with only the one road to cross.

Will get some pictures tomorrow.

Good photos Tom.
We noticed that this route had been improved when we drove along that route during our last visit the other week.

The photos also illustrate how green the landscape is, something that was evident driving to Algarve Shopping and elsewhere on our travels.

Very green because of the rain. The landscaped ground either side of the path has not yet consolidated and is rather muddy and soggy when you walk on it.

The river is flowing nicely as well.
