ALGARVE FOOTBALL - FIXTURES AND RESULTS

Match frozen off again this evening at Guimaraes, ..... to be rearranged for a future date.

Night-time temperatures in that area have been down to -5º this past few nights and it has been raining, so a deep frost is more than likely.  New ko time is 1800hrs tonight. It will be warmer, expecting around 10º at ko time.

I was going to follow Guimares v Farense but seems there was a problem with the pitch? Waterlogged? Frozen? Anyway match was postponed I believe.

LAST WEEKEND'S RESULTS NEXT WEEK'S GAMES

Not much to report as most games were called off.


That result lifts them to 13th in the table. The bottom half is incredibly congested. Only four points separate 7th from 18th in the current table, so every point gained is vital.

Next Saturday Farense travel to 6th placed Vítoria Guimarães, while on Monday night Portimonense (16th) will be at home to Belenenses (14th).

Campeonato de Portugal Group H

Only one game was played involving Algarve teams - Olhanense drew 0-0 at Lusitano Évora. Olhanense are now 4th with 14 points from eight games, but a long way behind leaders Vítoria Setubal who have 26 from 8.

Next Sunday's games for the Algarve teams, if they can take place, will be :

Only Amora v Lagos. Louletano v Moncarapachense has already been called off. Olhanense are without a game as they are the odd ones out next week.

The rest of the games are provisionally rescheduled for Wednesday 20th, except for 11 Esperanças v Imortal Albufeira which will be played at the end of February.
