If there was one, you would be pretty unlikely to get a response. Not answering-mails is a national pastime in Portugal. You might try their facebook page,

https://www.facebook.com/FutebolImortalDesportivoClube

but I doubt if you will get much response there either to be honest. If you are looking to set up a friendly match or similar, then our moderator on here - Cubsur - has a contact who specialises in such things, and I am sure he will be able to put you in touch.

hmfc1440 - let me know what you are after and will see what I can do to help.

The football side of the club is effectively closed from now until early September.

Thanks for the replies. I have sent a letter direct to their address and FAO
the Chairman. Hopefully they will receive the letter.
There is no urgency but an email in this day & age would be useful.

Like I said - even if they had one, the chances of response are minimal. Likewise your letter - you really are better off asking Cubsur.

Then they don't respond - that's up to the club. Wouldn't be dealing with any club
that doesn't respond to mail through the post. As I said no urgency my end.

Anyone planning to go to the game tomorrow be aware that it will be on the top 3G pitch not the main stadium.

Imortal 0 - 0 Quarteira SC scrappy game with midfielders in charge , hardly a goalscoring opportunity at either end. Still only 2.50 to get in.

Culatrense 0 - 0 Imortal Albufeira

There is certain to be a steward's enquiry about this game, which ended in chaos with players brawling all over the place, fans on the pitch and the policemen having to stir from their slumbers to keep order amongst the warring factions.

The game had been rather tetchy throughout, with even more than the usual series of petty fouls, drawn by players of both sides it has to be said, looking to con the referee at any opportunity.

Things boiled over at the end of normal time. An off the ball incident was spotted by one of the assistant refs. Everyone else was looking at the home goal where Imortal were attacking. The ref dished out a yellow card to both players, unfortunately for Imortal's Paullo he had already been booked and thus saw red. The pushing and shoving started and then words were obviously said. Paullo lost the plot and decided to go on a revenge mission. Soon most players were at it. Fans from the reasonable crowd of around 150 began hurling insults, one or two jumped over the barrier. Police moved in. Paullo at this point was involved in a scuffle with opponents and fans. Eventually Paullo left the field escorted by a cop. The game was about to re-start when a couple of others went at it. The ref then blew for time, well before the previously stated three minutes of additional time, of which not than 30 seconds had actually elapsed. Cue mass protests from Culatrense, more waving of cards. I think another Imortal player may have seen red but it was hard to tell amid the melée.

The police cleared the field eventually and remained on guard while the two sets of players continued to stare daggers at each other for several minutes outside the changing rooms, which forutunately at that ground are well separated.

Culatrense had dominated most of the game, especially the first half in which Imortal managed not one single attempt at goal to their hosts ten. Some good saves and a couple of fairly awful misses kept it 0-0. Imortal were much better in the second half, matching their opponents at every stage. Paullo, later the villain perhaps, missed two good chances when faced only by the goalkeeper. Culatrense for their part missed one glorious chance from no more than three yards in front of an open goal.

I have some pictures which I will sort out once back from the shops.

The match facts :

Free kicks conceded : Culatrense 15 Imortal 26!
Offside : Culatrense 3, Imortal 8
Shots on Target : Culatrense 7, Imortal 2
Shots off target : Culatrense 7, Imortal 2
Corners : Culatrense 7, Imortal 9
Yellow cards : Culatrense at least 5 plus one of the coaching staff for stealing the ball. Imortal 4 plus one of the subs for something said to the ref.
Red Cards : Imortal 1 possibly 2.

The Culatrense goalkeeper rises to the occasion but not under much pressure from the redshirted Imortal fowards.

One of the less belligerent moments of finger pointing at the end of the game.

Meanwhile, at the adjacent Faro municipal pool, all is quiet as of course they don't work on public holidays.

Imortal 1 - 1 Faro e Benfica a better game than the last two and least we scored. It was a good free kick after about an hour's play, well flighted into the area and met with a stooping and accurate header from captain Pedro Rodrigues.

The visitors equalised late on. Imortal showed again how lightweight, literally, they are up front in game with few chances at either end.

Justice did move swiftly after the Wednesday game. possibly because the HQ of the Algarve FA is next door to the Penha ground!

Paollo Oliveria received a one game ban for two yellow cards, as did a new player Jamil for 'threatening gestures or actions' towards opponents. The coach and one of his assistants have been banned for a month under one of those regulations covering everything they hadn't already thought of. One of the other lot also got a one game ban.
