British weather, you are showing off!
Trying to compete with Albufeira!

High of 31C yesterday (although the mercury at the local golf club showed 37C at 5pm)

33C today, then the thunderstorms & torrential rain starts this evening.

I'm off to work where the ac will be on, so I'll have to wear my cardigan!!!!

A foggy morning in Eastbourne and 15C. The fog is supposed to clear and temperature up to as many as 20C later today. A reasonably good week is forecast, I hope the cricket at Hove matches it.

Yesterday in Sussex was dull, overcast, windy and actually feeling cold until about 4pm when the clouds went away and we finally had the promised sunshine and 21C. Today has started better and already 16C, max today 21 or 22.

Scene at Hove county cricket ground yesterday. The area from where I took the picture was almost full, don't people have work to do?

Very cloudy this morning, threat of showers later. 16C now, max 20C later.

Yesterday was a sunny day for most of the day, but rather windy. 22C I was told.

Ah, the joys of watching cricket in the English summertime!

The picture below is the scene at the County Ground, Hove, where Kent were striving for an essential win against hosts Sussex. The picture was taken at 1235pm, a cold wind blowing, floodlights on, grey skies getting greyer by the minute.

Kent wrapped the win 35 minutes later, the rain began shortly after that and turned into a 3 hour downpour! Kent must have had someone watching the weather radar, you rarely see fielders moving so quickly between overs! Perhaps also praying to the rain god, as the prospect of further play that day would have been slim.

For those who know about such things Kent beat Sussex by an innings and 127 runs.

Now weather and railway strikes permitting, it's off to Beckenham next week for the penultimate game of the season, which Kent also absolutely have to win to have any chance of the divisional championship and promotion.

We escaped the torrential rain that swept across much of the UK yesterday. This morning is bright, cloudy and 16C. Looks to be a fairly nice day on the way, a bit cloudy but probably up to 20C.

Nasty day here in Eastbourne, rain sweeping in from leaden grey skies, quite windy and not very warm. No cricket today, starts tomorrow and the weather is supposed to improve.

Two days with no internet has coincided with a marked improvement in the weather here in SE England. Yesterday after early fog and low cloud had dissipated, it was a nice sunny day and 25C in Beckenham! Today has started as yesterday left off, bright sunshine, a bit windy and already 19C which will move up to 23 or 24 in some places.

Stayed sunny all day yesterday but became very windy during the afternoon, but a pleasant enough day all round.

Big contrast this morning! Dull and grey, might be a little bit of sun this afternoon, top temperature expected to be 20C.

After a rainy Saturday, it's bright and sunny once again Eastbourne.  Currently 16C, rising to 20C later perhaps.

We've had lovely September afternoons, warm and sunny.

Supposed to be getting another little heatwave this week.

It's been very pleasant.
