A cloudy start to the day here in East Sussex, sun expected later but max only 21ºC in contrast to the past week or so.

The Sunday afternoon scene at Beckenham. The apartments you can see were built on the site of the old pavilion. Best view in the house.

Dull and grey here in Eastbourne, already had one heavy shower. Prolonged spells of rain expected for much of the day, maximum temperature 17ºC. The next person who complains that it is cold in Albufeira...

Anyway my last day here, heading south to Bordeaux later.

Yes, I am sure the grass everywhere did except at Wimbledon! Eastbourne was also very brown.

Now in Bordeaux, which was British once. Fairly dull and cloudy, 19ºC. Might be some breaks in the cloud later and temperature perhaps rising to 24ºC. Saw on the news earlier that French firefighters have been called out 1,000 times this year already to fight forest and scrub fires mainly in the south of the country after a prolonged dry spell.

Stayed very grey here in Bordeaux yesterday with rain most of the afternoon.

Cloudy again today, 19ºC, expecting some sun later max 23 or 24ºC. Quite windy as well.

Was the most lovely bank holiday day in NI yesterday, sunny & got up to 20 degrees, had a nice trip away to beautiful
Malahide.

But it's very cloudy today - don't think the sun will make an appearance ...

Once again it is Full Sunshine and no breeze up here on the Fylde Coast. Just been for a stroll along Fleetwood Esplanade and there are plenty of people enjoying the beach and the great views over Morecambe Bay and further afield you can make out the Lake District. Oh its 26 Celsius in the shade.

And in the former English territory of Aquitaine it is another cloudy morning, 18ºC, not expected to be more than 24 later. Yesterday wasn't too bad after early rain, 25ºC but rather windy on the coast further south where I was.

A nicer morning here, 20ºC rising to 27ºC. Yesterday turned out not too bad, tens of thousands on the streets during the afternoon and evening for various events celebrating the 14 Juillet.

At the seaside now, still in Aquitaine but 60 miles from Bordeaux. 22ºC and rather humid early, expecting 30ºC later.

Glorious Sunshine up here on the Fylde Coast, Perfect day for Fleetwood's annual Transport Festival (AKA Tram Sunday) Thousands of people will converge in downtown Fleetwood to enjoy the nostalgic old Cars, Buses, Trams, Bicycles, Wagons etc. Many stalls will be raising funds for local charities and fairground rides will be dotted around the Town Centre. If you happen to be in the North West of England and wondering what to do with yourself ? A visit to Fleetwood can`t be that bad of an idea with sunshine forecast for all day and a high of around 23 Celsius.

Weather here has turned. Yesterday was again 33ºC, rather windy, but overall a good day on the weather front. Grey day today, showers around and max no more than 23.

Yesterday morning, I had to go to a pharmacy to get some stuff to counter the attentions of the local insect population. Then a bus a a well known local market. My arrival was at the same time as this event began to unfold - http://www.sudouest.fr/2017/07/18/vendays-montalivet-un-chauffard-fonce-dans-le-marche-3627453-3212.php

Market stayed closed while law enforcement of every type rushed around in case it was a bomb. It wasn't, just a nutter, but a controlled explosion was heard after the bomb squad turned up. Offending vehicle was being removed 3 hours later just as it was time for the bus back!
