Bright and sunny overhead and to the east, quite a lot of cloud to the west, just a little wind from the east at the moment.

Temperature at 1020am is 13.6C, the air is pretty damp with the humidity coming in  at 81%. It will stay cloudy today, no rain is expected, with top temperature between 16 and 18C, which is about average for the time of year.

Tonight the temperature will fall to between 8 and 10C.

Tomorrow is going to be a grey and rainy day with slightly cooler temperatures. Wednesday will have some showers around, but there will be sunny intervals between them.

After that it's going to be raining on and off for the rest of the week through to Sunday, time to do those jobs indoors you have been putting off! The rain will likely be as showers rather than prolonged periods thereof, but you will still probably get wet.

The sky is very dark to the south and west. The radar shows a large area of rain just off the coast to the west of Lagos and Sagres. At the moment it seems to be sliding past to the west, rather than coming our way, but keep a watch.

Temperature at 0815am is 13.8C, wind is light but steady, from the south.

It wil stay cloudy with the rain coming in later. Top temperature this afternoon 17C.  It won't be too cold tonight, 10 or 11C near the coast a bit less inland.

Tomorrow might be less cloudy, similar temperatures and with the chance of some showers, Thursday is going to be a showery day but slightly warmer.

It looks pretty decent out there at the moment, mostly blue sky with just a few small clouds out in the distance. Temperature at 0940am is 13.3C, the air is rather damp though with humidity at 85%. There is a light and steady breeze from the south.

It should stay like this for a good few hours with temperature perhaps reaching 18C, but some light rain is heading our way for this afternoon and into the evening.

Tonight will see the temperature fall to around 10 or 11C with rain on and off. Tomorow will be rather cloudy with spells of rain, basically warm and damp. Friday ought to be a better day, cloudy but dry with similar temperatures.  The outlook for the weekend is a lot of wind on Saturday especially, gusts of up to 75kph along the coast, 100kph on the hills. Rough seas, swell of 4 or 5 metres. Rain forecast for much of Saturday, a bit better on Sunday.

Yesterday's later rain missed us for the most part. It was raining quite hard earlier until around 9am, there has been a couple of hours respite since with bluie skies and some light cloud but already the skies are darkening with the next lot of rain not far off.

Temperature at 1135am is 16.9C.  There's a new toy on the IPMA website - http://www.ipma.pt/pt/otempo/obs.remote/index.jsp where you can see the rain and scroll back over the previous three hours and see which way it is going.  At the moment it shows a few showers north of Lagos adn aling and thin line further north. If the rain does come here, it won't be as heavy or long lasting as earlier.

It will be a warm but damp night, 11 or 12C, some showers likely. Tomorrow will be cloudy, should  stay dry with temperatures similar to today's. Saturday is going to be a showery day but could have 18C.

It's a bit grey this morning, especially out to the west. Quite windy as well. Temperature at 1015am is 14.9C.  it's not raining at the moment but some light rain is expectecd later. The airflow is still from the south-west, so it's warm rain if it comes, temperature could reach 17 or 18C again.

Tonight will be another warm and damp one, perhaops now lower than 12 or 13C. Rain is expected all day tomorrow, temperature again will be fairly warm at 18 or even 19C, but no consolation if you are getting wet!

Sunday will be a better day, cloudy but fairly warm and dry, as will most of next week. The current ten day forecast has more rain coming our way for next Friday and Saturday.

Grey and damp but stopped raining about 7am. Fairly windy. Temperature at 0920 is 15C. There are more showers around but they look fairly small and scattered, so we might be lucky. Top temperature 18C. Tonight warm and damp again. Tomorrow cloudy but should be dry.

It's a bit misty out to sea but nice and sunny overhead. Temperature at 0940am is 15.0C.  There is barely any wind. Top temperature today could be 18 or 19C, it will become cloudier but no rain is expected. Tonight will be colder than recent nights, the wind is from the north once again, temperature down to 10C.

Monday will be a cloudy day, 17C and dry but heavy showers are forecast to be coming down from the north for Tuesday. They will pass over, leaving Wednesday cloudy but dry. The rest of the week is showing a very high probability of rain or showers, especially on Friday and Saturday.

Blue sky, sunshine, very light wind, not too bad at all for early February. I've watched cricket in England in July in worse weather!

Temperature at 1050am is 13.9C, could rise to 17 or even 18C later today. It will be a bit cloudy later perhaps but staying dry.

The wind is shifting round and will be coming from the north later, so it will be a fairly cold night and could go as low as 7 or 8C.

Tomorrow is expected to be a rainy day, we mightg get away with it until late morning or luchtime but it will be coming in from the west and it could be quite long spells. Wednesday ought to be a lot better, back to 18C daytime, dry but cold again at night.

A bit cloudy at the moment and dry, but a lot of rain is heading our way for later. Temperature at 0830am is 13C exactly. There is almost no wind.

A large area of rain is currently just to the south of Lisbon and slowly heading our way. Take a lok at http://www.ipma.pt/pt/otempo/obs.remote/index.jsp to see where it is.

I think it will start raining around lunchtime, maybe a litttle later. It will be warm rain, temperature could reach 18 or 19C. It will though be a bit cold tonight, could be as low as 5 or 6C.

Tomorrow is expected to be cloudy but dry, Thursday cloudy with a shower now and then.

Well the rain we were expecting yesterday afternoon fizzled out before it got here. The day stayed fairly nice.

Not bad again this morning, blue sky, a few streaks of high cloud and a light wind. Temperature at 1000am is 11.4C, so quite a bit colder than yesterday. The sun will be out all day, temperture this afternoon could rise to 18C.  it will be fairly cold again tonight, could be 6 or 7C.

Tomorrow will start cloudy with rain moving in during the day, not much sun so a bit colder than today. Showers will last into Friday morning, then it is currently forecast that it won't stop raining until Thursday week!

UPDATE 1130 -  looks like the rain that's around will miss us today.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Started nice but clouding over now, rain on the way? Temperature at 10.10am is 12.9C, so a bit warmer than yesterday. It's fairly windy by the look of the trees and flag across the road.

The radar has a whole bunch of rain to the south but it looks like that will just miss us.

Top temperature today will be 16 or 17C. Tonight will be fairly cold again, down to 8C perhaps.

Tomorow will be cooler than today with showers on and off all day, Saturday also showery and cooler still. A fairly deep depression is going to be parking itself off the west coast, generating fairly strong winds for most of the country, as well as a lot of rain. Down here it will be mostly showers, but possibly some longer periods of rain, right through to this time next week. Daytime temperatures will be rather low, 14 or 15C until the middle of next week then they climb back to a more normal 17 or 18.

It's not very warm and it was raining earlier, one of several showers to come today. At 8am it was 9.8C, now an hour later the sun is briefly out and it is 11.5C.

There's a lot of thick cloud out to the southwest, where the weather is coming from. The new radar thing shows it is raining in Portimão as I write and that's coming our way with several more behind, one of which looks fairly heavy.

So it's going to be a rainy day, the forecast does even have a possibility of thunder and lightning later! Not too warm either, maximum 14C. Cold again tonight with rain through the night also.

Tomorrow is going to be wet and windy all day, temperature similar to today. Sunday will be a bit better, but still with some showers around.  Wet weather is currently forecast for the whole of next week.

Update 1145am - nasty, horrible, raining hard from low grey clouds temperature 10.9C
.-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pretty mucky. It's been raining, the wind is blowing, the sea is rough and there are black clouds everywhere I can see. We are in a kind of intermission between rain but to the east, west and south of us a lot of rain, some quite heavy, is swirling around because of a very deep depression off the west coast.

Temperature at 0820am is 11C exactly, it's obviously very damp at the moment.

It's going to be a wet and windy day, max temperature as yesterday only 13 or 14. Keep an eye out at http://www.ipma.pt/pt/otempo/obs.remote/index.jsp to see where the rain is and how it's moving. There could be some heavy bursts of rain during the afternoon and evening.

Tonight will not be very nice, neither will tomorrow with rain expected almost all day.

Monday should see some improvement, a bit warmer, but still with a few showers.

More to come tomorrow - should have brought me wellies
I hate how peopleï compare Frank Zappa to God. I mean, he's cool and great and nice and everything, but he's no Zappa.

Yes it was fairly wet and windy all day yesterday. We had some very squally and noisy showers during the night, the wind was blowing all sorts of of stuff around.

It's calmer now, cloudy, in fact it's just started to rain lightly. Temperature at 1030am is 14.1C.

More rain to come, there are a lot of showers coming our way although at the moment it does look like the worst will pass to the east of uis. Top temperature today no more than 16 or 17C.

Temperature tonight will drop to around 11C, Monday and Tuesday will have a mixture of sunshine and occasional showers and will be slightly warmer.
