A very stormy night of thunder, lightning, wind and rain. Between about 3 and 4 thunder and lightning was continuous. It's quiet now but there is a bit more on the way. Temperature at 0845am is 19.1C cloudy and looking very dark out to the south west where the rain is coming from. Expect heavy showers until at least lunchtime. It should gradually get better through the afternoon. From tomorrow it should be mainly dry and still fairly warm until the weekend.

Weather update 1430hrs. Someone  appeased the rain gods as we had only a few spatters of rain here during the morning, the heavy showers passed us by. It has just started raining now.

It's looking very murky out to the southwest, some more rain is on the way although most of it is to the south of us, heading for Spain.

Temperature at 1430hrs is 20.2C.

Rain was fairly heavy for while yesterday afternoon and early evening but it stayed mostly dry during the night, although there was a bit of wind from time time.

This morning it's dull and cloudy, but warm and damp also. Temperature at 0830am is 19.3C, humidity showing at 75%.  There is very little wind.

Today should see some sunny bits,  with temperatures up to a very unseasonable 27C if and when it does break through. It should stay dry here, although there is a large area of rain out to the west to keep half an eye on. Certainly the sky is very grey looking that way.

Tonight will be warm, 20C or thereabouts then tomorrow and Friday will be also be warm and damp days, temperatures around 25 daytime, 20C at night. Feeling damp but probably not actually raining. Then  from Saturday things start to return to what October should be, 19 or 20 daytimes, could be as low as 10 or 11 at night. Dry until at least the middle of next week.

Looks a better day today. Suppose most people will be clearing up in the old town.

Walked down into town yesterday evening and no signs of any weather related damage other than the picture in the other post. It was a nice sunny afternoon and a warm night.

Today has begun rather grey and murky. It's not cold though, temperature at 1000am is 22.8C and not as damp and humid as yesterday. Some high cloud could be with us all day but if the sun comes out we could see 27C later, way above average for the time of year. There some showers way out to the west, north of Lagos,  but none coming our way today.

It will be a warm night tonight and another warm day tomorrow, still a bit cloudy though, then from Saturday things cool down rapidly towards a normal late October 20- 22C for next week.

Myself apart, it is fairly bright and sunny this morning although a little bit cloudy out to sea.

Windows are open fore and aft with a nice fresh air breeze coming through.  Temperature at 0940am is a very acceptable 21.6C.

Top temperature today could be up to 26C, which the average for June let alone the last week of October. Tonight will again be nice and warm, no lower than about 20C. A change in the weather is though on the way, with cooler more normal autumn air coming from tomorrow. Temperatures will gradually fall, 24 on Saturday, 22 on Sunday but staying dry.
Settled weather like that until Thursday or Friday next week, when some rainy weather is supposed to be coming our way.

And first reminder, clocks go BACK at 2am Sunday, so next week it will be nice and sunny at 5pm, dark at 6pm.

A bit cloudy this morning, sun is up there though and it is still warm. Temperature at 0900am is 19.4C, there is a light breeze. It did become very windy at times yesterday later in the day, expect the same today. Max today about 24C and staying dry.

Tonight will be another fairly warm one, 18 or 19C.

Tomorrow could be a touch cooler, Monday cooler still but still 22C daytime, 15C at night. No rain is expected until Wednesday when a spell of cooler and damper weather is predicted.

Finally, don't forget to put clocks back here in Portugal and in UK, summer time ends at 2am tomorrow morning. Winter draws on.

This weather is... unbelievable!
For the end of October it's fantastic. Clear blue sky, not a breath of breeze, sun warming up nicely, it's going to be quite warm today.
Add to that the Sunday atmosphere, everything is nicely hushed if you know what i mean, all I can hear is the sea to and fro, I've had worse Sunday mornings! Heaven.
I'll leave it for Tom to give you the figures.

A very nice morning indeed. The numbers are : current temperature 1022am is 20.6C, humidity 60%. Mostly blue skuies, a few wisps of very high cloud and just a light breeze.  My washing is getting nicely dry on the front balcony where it says 28C in the direct sun.

Max today around 23C but will feel hotter. Expect it to be a bit windy later. No rain. Tonight the temperatures will fall to around 15C up in the hills, 17 or 18 nearer the coast.

Tomorrow could be a bit cloudier and touch cooler. Make the most of the good weather as intermittent showers are expected on Tuesday and Wednesday with heavier and more prolonged spells of rain to follow on Friday and perhaps Saturday.

No weather today Tom?
In your absence, it's not as warm as yesterday and there is light intermittent breeze, a few high whispy clouds predominately out to sea but again, for the last day of October it's more than acceptable. Currently 24 degree's, could make 26/27 later. Lower 20's for the rest of this week but that will be November, also posible light showers as the week goes on.

Things to do, things to do!

It has been a nice day but it is a bit misty out there to sea. Temperature at 12noon is 21.3C, rather hotter in the direct sun. There's a light breeze.

Max today 23C, with the cloud building up and the wind might be stronger later.
Tomorrow will be another warm and slightly steamy day, with plenty of cloud and 24C. Wednesday will also be cloudy but it looks like the threat of rain has been lifted. Same goes for Thursday and Friday, quite warm but dry then still looking at rain for Saturday followed by rather cooler weather on Sunday and into next week.

Hot today, humid and a chance of showers. Temp at 0845 is 19.6C rising to 23 later. Misty out to sea, quite a bit of high cloud. Tonight will be warm again at 17 or 18.

Tomorrow and Thursday will also be warm and cloudy but should stay dry. Rainy weather expected for Friday and Saturday.

A warm morning again after a very warm night for the time of year. Temperature at 0930am is 20.1C but it is feeling rather damp. Humdiity thing says 81%. It's a bit misty and murku outside especially to the west where a layer of high cloud covers the sky.

Expecting up to 23C today, much warmer than the  early November average. The wind is from the east, there is no rain coming today.

Tonight and tomorrow will also be cloudy and warm.  But things could change on Friday, currently the forecast is for heavy showers. These could last into Saturday but will weaken. An unsettled week is probable after that with a mix of sunshine and showers for a dew days. It will still be quite warm, 18 or 19C daytime but much colder at night in a northerly wind from Monday. Could be into single figures at night early next week.

Update 1710hrs - a few spots of rain evident and it is right mucky looking  outside

Up early this morning, off to the dentsist in an hour. It's been another warm and slightly damp feeling night. It's quite misty out to sea, a scattering of light fluffy clouds overhead.

Temperature at 0750am is 17.9C, humidity 83%. There's barely any wind.

It will become quite cloudy, but with the wind still from the south top temperature later could be as high as 24C, way above average for this time of year. It should stay dry today.

Tonight and tomorrow is another story. Heavy and thundery showers are forecast to last almost all day. They should mostly be gone by Saturday, but it could still be a bit wet, with lighter showers and cooler temperatures of around 21C daytime, 16 or 17 at night.

Those thundery showers on Friday will cover much of the country, so anyone flying could have a bit of a bumpy ride.

Update 0855 - it's suddenly brightened up! Can't tell for how long though.

The wind woke me early and it is now fairly horrible outside. Wind is blowing, rain is coming down, sea quite rough. Temperature at 0835am is 18.8C.

The wind is at 40kph at the airport. Loulé radar is off line but the other one shows a fairly large area of rain for the next two or three hours maybe , with some more out to the south west for later. It won't get very warm today! No actual thunder of lightning yet.

Tonight will be warm and damp again, no lower than 18 or19C in the airstream coming up from the south. Tomorrow will see showers on and off and 20 or 21C. Sunday should be a better day but not as warm, 17 or 18 at best.
