There's been something up with the jolly old internet this morning. Couldn't get connected at all earlier and it's as slow as old carthorses now.

Temperature at 12noon 24.4C, there's a  bit of a breeze and there is quite a bit of high, thin, cloud.

High today 26C. Tonight will be another nice one around 18 or 19C. The weekend looks like being quite cloudy and not so warm as the past few days, only 24C or thereabouts. There is a high chance of showers  from late Sunday through to Monday and Tuesday, but they said that last week!

It's rather misty and cloudy this morning and feeling a bit damp.

Temperature at 1015am is only 21.7C, so not so warm as lately. The cloud is blocking the sun, but it's just starting to break through. Humidity at 67%. There is almost no wind.

Top temperature today no more than 24C, which is about average for this time of year. It will be quite cloudy all day.

Tonight will be a little cooler than lately, 17 or 18C. Sunday and Monday do look being rather rainy days. A couple of weather fronts are coming our way and the whole country could be getting fairly long periods of rain, especially on Sunday. Rain will move away during Monday.

It's very grey and gloomy out to the south-west. which is where the weather is coming from.

The radar shows a band of rain heading our way, one end is just on the coast at Sagres the other is about 50km south of here. It looks like there are a few heavy showers mixed in. That band of rain will be followed by some more isolated showers for a while.

Temperature at 1015am is 22.9C, humidity 84% with rain in the air.

It now seems the worst of the weather will be tomorrow, with heavy showers and thunderstorms predicted. The rest of the week should be more civilised, with temperatures in the low 20's during the day.

It looks like the rainy weather has mostly passed us by, but it was very windy earlier this morning. Other parts of the region had the benefit!

There is still a lot of dark cloud around and there are a few spots of rain from time to time. A final batch of showers is approaching from the south west. It's quite breezy still.

Temperature at 1115am is 21.4C, humidity 82%, no sun to be seen but there are a few small breaks in the cloud.

The showers will pass on later in the day and tonight should be dry. Tomorrow and Wednesday will be cloudy, little if any chance of any rain with temperatures around 22 r23C, quite acceptable for the time of year.

Yesterday turned out not too bad at all, what few showers there were here lasted a very short time and by late afternoon it was a pleasant day.

Same today, although a bit windy and quite cloudy earlier.

Temperature at 1430hrs is 23.2C, now just a bit of streaky high cloud and much less humid.

There won't be much change over the next couple of days, although nights are starting to get colder with 13 or 14C likely by Thursday night. No rain expected until at least the weekend.

Freezing! Winter woollies out, hot water bottles tonight.

Temperature at 1000am is only 19.5C, the coldest day for months. Blue sky to the west, high cloud to the east. There is a slight breeze from the south west.

Maximum temperature today will be 22 or 23C. Tonight will be cold, down to 15C perhaps. But there is no rain around.

Not much change is expected until later on Saturday, when clouds start to thicken with showers on the way for Sunday and Monday.

It's a nice bright and breezy morning, plenty of sun and blue sky with just a few strands of very high cloud out to the west.

Temperature at 1050am is 18.9C, which will rise to 22 or 23 later.

Tonight will be cold, down perhaps as low as 14C. Tomorrow won't be much different, Saturday could be slightly warmer with a change of wind direction, but there is a good chance of a light shower or two. Sunday and Monday are expected to be a mix of showers and sunny periods, temperatures 21 - 23C which is average for the time of year.

It was 16C at 8am , now at 1020am it is 19.5 on a nice bright and sunny day. There's a steady breeze, plenty of sun and just a bit of cloud. A good drying day.

Maximum today will be the same as yesterday, a very pleasant 22 / 23C or so.

Tonight, a northerly wind and clear skies will mean another cold night, 15C or thereabouts.

A band of rain is coming our way for Saturday, in fact the whole country is going to get some. Not so warm either, 20C at best. Sunday will see a few remaining showers with sunny spells in between. Showers and bits of sun are forecast for most of next week also.

Update 1350hrs - it's raining hard now and has been for an hour or so, low cloud is thick with visibility down to about 300 metres. Not a nice day at all.

It's a grey day, light rain is falling from low cloud. It has been raining on and off for some time but not particularly hard.

Temperature at 1100am is 18.2C, there is a bit of a breeze stirring things up outside. The rain is going to be with is for a whole yet, although it may slacken off for while in the later afternoon.

Tonight will be a touch warmer than the past few, around 18C. For tomorrow and Monday there will be light showers from time to time, temperature perhaps 21C.

An hour or so ago it was nice and sunny, but a big bank of dark cloud is approaching and it is very thick out to the east. The radar shows a heavy shower heading for Faro and east of there.

Temperature at 1005 am is 20.1C, so not at all cold, with humidity under the dark cloud at 87%. Maximum today about 21C, there is a breeze from the south west bringing the moist air from across the ocean.

There are a whole lot of isolated showers heading towards the Algarve, so today will be one of those days when it may rain here and not 5 miles away and vice-versa.

It's going to be reasonably warm tonight, 17 or 18C. The showery weather will last through Monday and into Tuesday maybe into Wednesday. The latter part of the week will see drier and less cloudy weather and it will be a bit warmer.

It's very humid this morning, threatening to rain somewhere. A big black cloud has passed by out to sea heading east and the sun is just starting to break through. Clear skies to the west.

Temperature at 0935am is 19.8C, humidity 88% and obviously its feeling rather damp. There is very little breeze.

Looks like there will be some showers later, maximum temperature won't be much higher than it is now. Tonight will be reasonably warm at around 17C, tomorrow will be another day of light showers and sunny intervals and possibly so into Wednesday as well.

There could be a couple of dry days but the current model tells of thunderstorms next weekend.

I am away from town until Friday afternoon so if you need to know what the weather's doing over the next few days, go to http://www.ipma.pt/en/otempo/prev.localidade/index.jsp?localID=8&cidadeID=131

Suffice it to say that the next several days will be warm (21 - 23C) but wet with frequent showers, some very heavy. There is a yellow warning out for heavy rain as I write.
