Yes it was nice over in Ferreiras as well. The clouds passed us by.

It looks like being a better day today than expected, although it is quite windy and there are orange warnings on the official website for rain, high wind and rough seas.

Temperature at 0925 is 19.5C, there is quite a bit of cloud around. There are two weather fronts coming our way for later, bringing rain. The rain may be quite heavy especially in the evening and into the night.

Tomorrow early will still be wet and windy, but there will be sunny intervals between the showers getting better as the day moves on. Saturday is also going to be a day of sunshine and showers, temperatures around 19 or 20C on both days.

It looks like being a  showery day today but perhaps not so nasty as it was yesterday late afternoon and evening.

Temperature at 0810am is 18.3C, there is a lot of cloud around and there is a light wind from the west. There are a lot of showers on the radar to the north-west and these are coming our way.

The temperature might creep up a little but that will be academic if it is lashing down.

The weekend will be a little cooler, 17 or 18C and rather cloudy but should be mainly dry, just a chance of a shower or two. As for next week, the early part will be as now, a mixture of sunshine and showers then the current prediction is for warmer weather but mixed in with heavy and thundery showers on Thursday and Friday.

It doesn't look too bad out there at the moment, some clouds but the sun is out. There's a fresh breeze. Temperature at 1020am is 17.4C.

There are a number of showers coming in from the west so it could be wet later, or it might be like yesterday when the black clouds passed us by for the most part. Temperature maximum will be around 19C.

Tonight will be pretty cold by Algarve standards, it could as low as 11C in sheltered spots. Tomorrow is expected to be a mainly sunny day with little or no rain, same goes for Monday.

Showers return from Tuesday onwards, with thunderstorms predicted for Wednesday and Thursday.

Black clouds did pass us by yesterday, there were just a few spots of rain.

It's a nice start to the day, mostly blue sky with some high cloud out to sea.

Temperature at 0850am is 16.4C, there is a light wind from the north-west. It will be a little cloudy all day, but there is no sign of any rain. Maximum temperature will be around 19C, about average for the time of year.

It won't be very warm tonight, down to 12C perhaps.  Tomorrow will be a nice sunny day, around 19 or 20C but fairly cold at night. Tuesday does look like being a bit warmer but rainy.

Where's the sun they promised? It's 10/10ths cloud , rather grey looking this morning.

Temperature at 1030am is 16.5C, there is very little wind. There's no rain showing up on the radar but there seems little prospect of the sun coming out today. If it does, we might get 19C this afternoon.

Tonight will be pretty cold, possibly as low as 10C in a north-westerly airflow. Tuesday and Wednesday will be rainy days, a bit warmer as the air will be coming from the south east and south.

Just listened to the weather on Kiss FM. Apparently it's hot and sunny in the Algarve??? Perhaps they should just look out of the window!

the sun's out, well sort of. There's plenty of cloud but there is definitely some sun up there, trying to break through. Temperature at 1145am is 17.9C and there is a bit of a wind.

There is rain on the way for later. We might see 19C if the sun comes out for any length of time but there is a yellow warning out for rain this evening and tonight. It might get a bit chilly tonight, down to 11 or 12C.

The rain will last through tomorrow and into Thursday. For Thursday there is currently an expectation of thundery showers, heavy at times. Daytime temperatures will remain in the 18 - 20C range.

It's been very wet and windy since before dawn but seems to be just starting to calm down a bit.

It's not actually raining as I write but dark clouds are every where. Temperature at 0910am is 18.2C, the humidity is 88% on account of the rainclouds.

There is more rain to come but it does look like the worst has passed during the night. The air is coming from the south-east, so it will stay reasonably warm at 19 or 20C, but the rain will be with us on and off until the end of tomorrow. Friday and Saturday should be fairly sunny and quite warm for the time of year.

UPDATE 1545HRS-it is as black as the pit outside, there has just been a big flash of lightning causing the lights to flicker but no thunder, odd. There is a line of thunderstorms just south-west of here, so I am keeping my eyes on the sky. Temperature is 18.7C but doesn't feel like it.

The airflow is still from the south, so it's pretty warm. Temperature at 0945 am is 17.6C, very damp but there's not much wind.

Most of the rain has passed but there is still more to come, probably for most of the rest of the day on and off. It won't be heavy rain they say. There won't be much sun, so maximum temperture no higher than 19 or 20C. It will stay warm and damp tonight, no lower than 15C.

Tomorrow will be nicer day, a bit of cloud probably but no rain and Saturday should be nicer still, with a warm easterly airflow, mainly sunny skies and temperatures up to 22C. The present forecast for Sunday though is for heavy showers, then into next week a mixture of showers and sunshine ending the week with a marked drop in temperature and more rain.

UPDATE 5PM - the storm has arrived, black clouds loom overhead, heavy rain is falling and there have been some pretty intense bolts of lightning. Temperature at 5pm still 18C. Street outside is awash, visibility down to about 200 metres.

Christmas - usually reasonably warm in daytime around 15C  - 17C, night-time 10 or 11, rain always likely but usually in short, sharp, showers rather than endless drizzle and muck.

Today the weather outside is a lot more civilized that it was yesterday although it is still very murky. Temperature at 0935am is 18.4C, there is a light breeze from the south-east.

The radar shows some rain clouds down to the southbut nothing coming our way. Maximum temperature today could be as high as 22C. Tonight will be warm as well, no lower than about 15C.

The weekend looks like being a wet one, especially on Sunday when a band of heavy showers is predicted.

Yesrerday afternoon did turn out to be nice. This morning it is very  grey and cloudy. Temperature at 0925am is 18.5C, there is almost no wind. There's no sun either, the cloud cover is 100%.

There is a lot of wet weather swirling around to the south but it does look like most of it will miss us, at least until the afternoon when some showers are expected. Maximum temperature today could be as high as 22 or 23C, rather warm for the time of year. It will be warm again tonight, 15 or 16C.

Sunday and Monday are both going to be rainy days but there will be some sun every now and then between the showers.

It's very quiet out there at the moment. Cloudy, grey skies and hardly any wind. Temperature at 0915 is 18.1C. It's not raining now, but it will be later on as a band of showers is heading our way from the south. We won't see much sun, so the maximum temperature won't be more than a degree or two higher than it is now, but still quite warm for the time of year.

The warm but showery weather will continue through tonight into Monday and probably Tuesday as well. After Tuesday the wind will be coming more from the north, which means cooler weather for the rest of the week and there will still be a lot of showers.
