As Toms above forecast, cracking day today, for late September this is more than acceptable, hot enough to sunbathe (if that's your fancy), hot enough to just enjoy through the day without getting fried, best of all worlds. Love it.

How localised is the weather? Very, from this morning’s run to the airport. Faro is under thick, heavy, dark cloud and three degrees cooler than here! It didn’t start to break up until well after we were west of Vilamoura. Currently a very acceptable 20 degrees here, no breeze at all.

It was indeed very cloudy over Faro first thing, quite dark as well. Now, at 1030, there is cloud almost overhead here, moving very slowly east to west. Some is fairly dark

Temperature at 0830am was 20.4ºC, not much warmer now. The radar shows large areas of heavy rain over Andalucia, to the east of Seville stretching right across to the Costa del not Sol.

Forecast for today is a slightly optimistic 26ºC, it won't get to that if the clouds stay around.

Tonight will be a pleasant 18ºC or so.

The next couple of days are likely to be cloudy also, daytimes 26 - 28ºC, night-times 17 or 18.

The current ten day forecast shows no break in the weather expected, in fact possibly even warmer early next week.

Currently very nice here, light cloud, full sun, minimal breeze and 28 degrees, it does look much cloudier to the East still.

Oops, posted this in wrong section so pasting here now, apologies.

As we were, clear blue skies, not a drop of breeze, absolutely dead still and 21 degrees already, high 20's forecast for later, might even make 30 and this at the end of September!

Not a bad start to the day at all although it is pretty murky looking across to the sea to the south west. Temperature here in Páteo at 10005am is 23.7ºC. No wind to speak of.

Forecast for today is a maximum of 28ºC, well above average for the time of year but it will be a bit cloudy later. It will be a bit warmer tonight, around 19ºC.

Little change is expected for the next few days, as has been the pattern. A little cloud from time to time, daytime temperatures in the high 20's, night-times around 19ºC and no rain.

Thus is the expected situation for the next ten days.

I am off to search for a water hole in this increasing aridity.

A bright and breezy start to the day here. Temperature at 0820am in Pateo is 21.7c, sky is blue everywhere. Forecast is for a max of 29c, the wind is coming mostly from the southwest, so it-s a bit humid.

Tonight will be once again a pleasant 18 or 19.

A very nice weekend is in prospect, daytime temperature will rise to 27 or 28, nighttime not lower than about 17.

The outlook for next week is of little change, possibly even warmer in the middle of the week. mostly sunny, a few bits of cloud and pretty well zero chance of any rain.

Again, a nice looking start to the day. Blue sky, with a few wisps of high cloud. A gentle breeze is wafting through open windows.

Temperature at 0905am is 21.3ºC. it is noticeably more humid (69%) than in recent days.

Forecast for today calls for a maximum 29ºC, with the wind mostly coming from the north. It will be another warm night, 18 or 19ºC.

Sunday and Monday will also be hot days, maybe a little more cloudy. Next week will be hot, day time temperatures in the high 20's possibly even 30ºC which is quite a way above average for this time of year. There is no prospect of rain in the forecasts.

IPMA are now saying 31 for later today and we have zero breeze down here Tom, it's shaping up to be a scorcher.

The BBC forecast has daytime temps no lower than 27, and as high as 31, for the next 10 days.
Some high cloud today but then nothing but clear skies until 10th October.

Yesterday we had 28ºC, today could be hotter. It's been a bit windy up here again earlier this morning but has calmed down now.

Temperature at 1010am is only 22.7ºC but warming up in the sun. Mostly blue sky, some streaky high clouds also. Yes, the IPMA official forecast has a maximum of 31ºC for today, which is possible away from the coastal breezes.

Tonight will be another one at a pleasant 18ºC.

Hot and sunny it will be for the week ahead, daytimes in the high 20's at least. Well above average for the time of year. A bit of cloud here and there, no rain.

Well isn't this just a perfect day? Glorious sunshine, the very lightest of intermittent breeze, 29 degrees and more to come but, we shouldn't be surprised, look at last nights sunset and as the saying goes...

A very pleasant day yesterday and another one coming along now.

Blue sky overhead, some high cloud out to sea and a light breeze. Temperature at 1055am is exactly 25ºC.

Forecast for today is a maximum of 31ºC, several degrees above average for early October. Tonight will be pleasantly warm at around 19ºC.

There is no real change forecast for the rest of this week. Next weekend could see a slight fall in temperature down to the mid 20's daytime, maybe 15 at night.

What a day, the hottest of the past two weeks, we have 30 on our thermometer but the car and the chemist, five mins ago, both said 31. Either way, for October it's unbelievable, and very welcome, glorious!
