No rain expected for the foreseeable future I am afraid. Some cloudy days are forecast for the weekend and early next week, but little prospect of any rain to relieve the drought. I guess we will be bowling on browns on 1st September!

Anyway, after a rather misty and murky night, it's another hot and sunny day here in Albufeira. Temperature at 1140am is 29.9ºC and it is a lot more humid than it was, the device says 75%. Blue sky overhead, very hazy out to sea. Wind such as there is from the south.

High today 32ºC, which is more or less what is has been this past fortnight. It may become cloudy later. Tonight a chilly 20 - 22ºC, tomorrow and Thursday same again.

Over the weekend it could become quite cloudy at times. the wind will change direction and come more from the north-west, which will bring slightly cooler temperatures (down to 29 or 30, shock horror) and maybe as low as 18 at night, which will get all the tourists complaining for sure.

After a pleasant  and at times fairly windy night, temperature at 0930am is 26.9ºC.  There is veil of thin cloud across most of the sky keeping the sun off. There is only the slightest breeze at the moment, from the south.

IPMA says top temperature today only 31ºC, staying cloudy. Tonight will again be a pleasant 22ºC or so, warmer inland.

Not much change is expected over the next couple of days, nor for the weekend. Richard will be pleased to know that the forecast for Monday and Tuesday now has a 29 - 35% chance of....RAIN!

It's been a pleasant morning, temperature just before noon is 28.4ºC. There is the same thin veil of cloud across the sky, I can feel a slight breeze wafting through the window.

High today 31ºC, it is also quite humid with the cloud, 64% it says.

Tonight wil see temperatures fall to around 20 or 21ºC by the coast, warmer inland.

No change expected in the situation for tomorrow or the weekend. Sunday will see the wind change to come from the soutth and that brings a possibility of different weather, for Tuesday the figure is a 46% chance of rain and slightly lower temperatures.

It's cloudy this morning, no sun to be seen at all. Still though 27ºC at 1120am. There's barely any wind, coming from the south.

The cloud may break later, top temperature 31ºC perhaps.

Tonight will be the same as the past few, 21 - 22ºC.

The weekend is expected to be very cloudy, Saturday temperatures about the same as today but not so warm on Sunday, maybe only 27ºC.

A big change in the weather is now predicted for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday with a 63% chance of rain!  And temperatures no higher than 26ºC!

Update 1115am - decidedly dark now outside, radar shows a band of rain over Portimão and Alvor coming this way slowly, plus another bunch south of Faro. There may have been a few spots of rain during the night it seems.

A cloudy morning so far, a dry wind, maximum fire alert for inland areas. Temperature at 1035am is 27.9ºC, very slight breeze stirring things.

It will stay quite cloudy with maximum temperature no more than 30ºC.  Tonight could be quite cold, as low as 20ºC, so do dress warmly if going out.

Tomorrow is expected to be cloudy again, with slightly lower temperatures then for Monday we now have a very strong chance of it being a rainy day as a weather system comes in from the south-west, bringing moist tropical air. Tuesday and Wednesday aren't looking too good either.

Not so hot as yesterday, blue sky and quite windy. Temperature at 1210 is 26.8ºC, should reach 29 later. Whole region still on maximum fire alert.

Tonight will be fairly cool and cloudy as the band of clouds and showers moves in for tomorrow. It won't be very warm (relatively speaking) tomorrow, max 25ºC. The showers are likely to continue through Monday night into Tuesday. Temperatures will remain in the mid 20´s. Wednesday could also be wet, warm and dry weather will be back from Thursday and will be around for a few days.

Well, so far so good today. There's a lot of big clouds around but the radar currently shows no rain falling down this way. Temperature at 1025 am is 25.2ºC, it's fairly breezy although not as much as it was yesterday afternoon.

It won't be much warmer later but fingers crossed any showers will be short lived and small. Tonight will be around 18 - 20ºC, still cloudy with a chance of showers.

Tomorrow will be similar to today with a slightly higher chance of showers, then the wind swings around to come again from the north. The depression off the central coast moves away, taking its winds with it. This will be bringing dry and warmer weather from Wednesday onwards. Daytime temperatures will be back in the high 20's.

So far, so good today. Bright overhead, some clouds out in the distance but nothing threatening. Temperature at 1045am is 23.4ºC, there is just the lightest wind.

It will be noticeably cooler today than it has been, max today no more than 26ºC. The threat of any rain now seems minimal. It is however quite stormy over much of the country, so anyone flying today could have some bumpy minutes.

I will be cold tonight, down to 18 or 19ºC.

Tomorrow will be similar to today, maybe slightly warmer. Then on Thursday we begin another spell of fairly warm weather, day time temperatures in the high 20's. That should stay with us for at least a week so they say.

Update 1750hrs - a nice afternoon, been out for a two hour walk, windy up on the hill and some big clouds to the north. Everything is as dry as the proverbial, temperature still 25ºC.

Very nice day so far, blue sky and a bit of a breeze. Temperature at 12 noon is 25ºC exactly. Sun's out, so we could have 27 or 28 by later this afternoon. Tonight will have 18 - 20ºC depending on where you are. Zero chance of rain.

It will start to get a bit warmer from tomorrow, 30 - 32ºC expected over the next few days. Slightly warmer at night as well.  There could be some high cloud keeping the sun away over the weekend, but in general a settled weather situation for at least a week. No rain is forecast, but bear in mind that last week they were offering a 70% chance of rain for Monday and Tuesday just gone and that didn't happen. Not here anyway.

A very nice morning so far and a good day expected. Temperature at 1050am is 24.9ºC, which will rise to maybe 30ºC this afternoon. There are just one or two tiny clouds in an otherwise blue sky. There is a very light wind from the north. No rain today.

Tonight will see temperatures fall to a comfortable 19 or 20ºC.

Tomorrow will be similar to today, Saturday perhaps a little warmer but with some clouds.

No real changes forecast for the next ten days. Almost the whole of the Algarve is a red alert fire risk zone. One of the very few areas it hasn't rained lately.

And another very pleasant day in prospect. Blue sky, slightly hazy out to sea, a very light wind, although it might pick up later. Temperature at 0805am is 21.4ºC, rising to around 31ºC this afternoon. No rain forecast!

Tonight the temperature will fall to around 20ºC.

The weekend looks good, daytimes 31 or 32ºC, could be a bit cloudier though. Night-times slightly warmer perhaps. No change in sight, the drought continues.

It's going to be hot today, already is in fact. Temperature at 1025am is 27.2ºC, bright blue sky and barely a breath of wind. Could reach 32ºC later, the airflow is from the south-east ie North Africa. (Average for this time of year is around 27ºC)

Tonight will be pleasant enough again, down to 20 or 21ºC.

Tomorrow could be a bit cloudy but still up to around 30ºC, Monday clear and 32 then a couple more days of fairly hot weather (low 30's) with a dry wind from the north. Daytime temperatures could fall to a more reasonable (for the time of year) 28ºC by next weekend.

Another nice day coming, after a slightly hazy start. Temperature at 1100am is 27.3ºC, rising to 31 later. Blue sky, almost no wind again although it will probably be windier later.

Tonight will be another pleasant one, 20ºC or so up in the hills, warmer in town among the buildings and the hordes.

Tomorrow looks like being really hot, could be 33ºC, Tuesday slightly cooler but still very warm for the time of year. The 10 day forecast has nothing really different!

UPDATE - 27.5ºC at 6.35pm. Nice breeze.

Another bright and sunny morning here in Albufeira. It was a bit windy earlier but has calmed down now. Temperature at 1020am is 25.4ºC.  High today forecast to be 32ºC, cooler near the sea perhaps. The wind is coming from the north and north-west, it feels a bit hay-fevery to me.

Another nice night ahead, temperature will fall to 19 or 20.

Tomorrow may be a little less hot, only 29ºC is expected, Wednesday back to 31ºC. That will be followed by at least another week of this hot, dry, weather.
