That contract that Tom signed up to might be all right. I would be inclined to follow his lead. Do we sign-up at Modelo? Could it possibly be that easy? (Ever the optimist!!)

And the take up time for the offer has long expired. I have a voucher for €3,92 in my pocket ready to spend in Continente later.
The offer itself expires at the end of the year and it will be interesting to see what comes along in its place. |

Just found this info on another expats forum re EDP:
According to AFPOP (association for property owners in Portugal), the 2 year transitional period starts in July for customers with contracts above 10.35kva.
During this period, the regulated prices remain in effect and so does the bi-horario rates. For customers with contracts to supply under 10.35kva, the transitional period starts in July 2014. |

Yes J2me at least it gives us some time to try and work out our next step along the way (for those of us on 10.35kva or less). All these websites they have given you for change of electricity it seems the majority are not based in Portugal. Galp are mentioned but when you go on the website it only seems to mention gas. Wish they were all as simple as the UK ones, changing supplier in UK is a doddle, but the Portuguese always seems to make it difficult and go all round the houses.
As the Beatles once said "we can work it out" hopefully.

I also notice on EDP website they are advertising an offer called Verde which to me is the same as BTN simples tariff which I and the majority of us are on but with a few extra discounts/benefits.
and here are the five extras (senses as they call it) benefits/discounts wonder why they are advertising these when anyone over 10.35kva are going to be put on a different tariff from 1st July 2012 due to the de-regulation. Mind Boggles.
