	I've only hired from/to Faro airport but you will require: photo driving licence, passport, credit card in the name of the main driver (with enough credit for security deposit). Most companies also hire satnavs. For the motorway my hire cars have had transponders fitted for which I paid 20 Euros but which has 15 Euros of credit. I book cars through Zest Car Rental (formerly Economy Car Hire) and if you look at their website and select a car it will allow you to study the terms and conditions of any particular company.
