The beach does look jaggy, oh well it had to be done and it will be worth it in the long run i suppose. As Avril says a pair of flip flops for a walk along it will be required.

Looking forward to more your photos (to supplement those Cubser has very kindly provided).
Our apartment is on the road down to the beach Rua Columbano Bordalo Pinheiro, try saying that after a few drinks. Opposite the Panacee Restaurant and next door to the Monica Isabel Hotel. Hope to be next out August/September.

Cheers cheekygirl. It certainly is wider although not as wide at the lift end I notice, I wonder if the waves still crash up against it?

The waves still bash up on the nearby rocks but they are about 15 metres now from the base of the lift. The sea isn't particularly rough of course, but it will be interesting to see how that particular area is affected by winter seas.

I spotted a JCB working near Inatel this morning, roughly where cheekygirls 2nd picture was taken. it looked like it was having to re-shape a section.

Is that the JCB actually in the second picture Tom?
Look's like it's been doing a few days 'reshaping'.

Are you for real?
You have a similar post on another thread.
Neither post makes any sense.
