As programmed/planned, they stopped for Easter. We walked Peneco to Inatel and that seemed pretty much complete but I have to say, I was indeed disapointed with the quality of the sand and the contaminates, ie. shells! The sand is a much larger and coarser grain, and darker in colour, and most of the shells, and there's millions, are broken fragments and some are very sharp.
I did hope they would be screening it but having discussed this with Tom last Saturday night, I now know they're not, just cleaning for general rubbish like litter and fag ends.

Took a walk along the beach yesterday. They were working about half way along between Inatel and the rocks at the end, obviously doing a bit once over as it was a lot lower than the other sections.

Here are a couple of samplers. I will put some more on my own web pages later.

The rest of the photos. There are still a lot of shells in some places, especially around the pier where the waves have washed them along the beach and they can't go any further.

Excellent Photo's Tom, I was wondering how the new sand is looking now, at the Rocomar end. Is it a bit lighter in colour now it has had chance to dry out a bit ?

Not the greatest of days, last week just before the weather settled but that beach is certainly bigger.

I only paddle myself now. But with a bit of luck the new sand has covered all the rocks.
