ive been barred from many a place but never a forum!!!
last night my friends daughter and her brother were walking in "Bar St."..7 french guys were nearby and 1 of them asked the girl for a kiss, when she refused, he slapped herand she ended up on the ground. 2very large bouncers from a nearby bar and intervened on her behalf and the said magnificant 7 came off the worst..so a big thanks to them!!... hasnt put her off the rest of her holiday, could happen anywhere.

Just back from 2 weeks in Albufeira. Spent our evenings in the old town and took a taxi back to Sao Joao. Never felt threatened or uneasy despite the crowds in the square & side streets of football fans & others. It's a lovely town and we will be back.
